Bakersfield Christian Church - Iglesia Cristiana de Bakersfield - Bakersfield Randy Truelove: Im a 61 yr. Old man from Tennessee with terminal cancer, going to northern California to spend what time I have left on this earth with my only sister! A couple of Unexpected repairs to my vehicle took more than 1/2 of my money and its not charging the battery!
So, Im stranded until the 1st, when Ill get my next check!
I had to move my vehicle from Walmart parking lot, I Parkes in the church parking lot, for safe haven!
Spoke with a Ms. Carol and at 1st. She told me, I could not stay there until the 1st, but after talking with me, she laid down a few ground rules and said, i could stay until the 1st.
Without transportatìn, Im un able to search for food banks jn area, Im not physically able to walk far in this heat!
I didnt have anymore money and by Sunday that was day 4 without food, out of desperation I made a sign that covered my passenger window that read, ( Stranded 7 -days )
( NO food - 4 days)
Not one person from the church offered any help!
Or even talked to me! Then yesterday I was approached by a man who said, he was the brother of the pastor of the church, that I had been their too long and I needed to move it from the property now, OR it would be towed away!
I tried explaining the person whom Id spoken with and he didnt want to hear it, I told him of my illness and why I was stranded, he made another complaint that now I had my homey hanging out there with me! I told him, I never met this man before in my life, JOSE had happened to stop there to eat his lunch under a shade tree, noticed me working on my vehicle and asked me about it?
After explaining my dilemma to this act of GOD stranger, he bought me something to eat, this being day 5, without food!
He intended on looking at my truck, to help me get it off the church property, he even threatened to csll for tow, i explained that I had a battery charger, if I could possibly use an outlet to charge the battery enough to take it somewhere and he said, they didnt have one, meanwhile, during this entire conversation, this man is smoking Marijuana and drinking beer!
Bragging to Jose, that he gets $300 weekly for his job, that he just drinks beer most of the time!
He left saying Id my truck wasnt moved by morning, his sister would have it towed as soon as she got their!
I just for the life in me, cant understand someone who claims to be a CHRISTIAN, would treat an elderly man with a terminal illness this way!
GOD didnt color code us and whether or not you believe me, but Im one of GODS children as much as you all THINK YOU ARE!
I couldnt treat an elderly person this way!
Someone tried to cover this up, by saying, its the California thing, with gangs etc.etc.
No, it is NOT!
If your a true child of GOD, you have a passion in your heart instilled by GOD, that cannot be taken from you by anything or anyone!
This is a PERFECT EXAMPLE, of why people get further and further away from religion!
I have felt his healing hand, has revealed himself to me by witnessing a TRUE ACT OF GOD!
I couldnt sleep at night, if I was a hypocrite!
