5 /5 Jade Hernandez: I have been following the curl lounge on instagram for quite some time, so when I saw they were looking for models I jumped on the opportunity! I am beyond impressed with how my hair came out as I have never had a curly cut before! Idalis was absolutely amazing and it was so relaxing to be in her chair! All the people here are so nice and respectful I 100000% recommend and will be coming back!

1 /5 Araya Lew: Let me start off by saying my hair is beautiful, but it is simply not what I asked for at all. I asked for no length off but got my hair cut by 3 Inches. The workers were nice but the conversations happening were really inappropriate. Talking about male strippers and random things like that. I messaged my hair stylist saying I didnt like the coloring, cut or styling. I paid 550 dollars and tipped 70. I told her I was unhappy with my hair and wished we could at LEAST fix the coloring but in response received a "free hair trim whenever you feel ready to maintain it again." When I just stressed that I didnt want hair cut off. Waste of 600 dollars and 4 hours of my life. My first time getting my hair cut in 5 years and I regret it.

5 /5 Anna Kana: Adi was absolutely lovely! She did a superb job cutting and styling my hair, and helping me figure out what products to use in order to maintain the look she gave me. The salon was very clean and well organized. The place was full of laughter, and everyone seemed to be very friendly with one another. I will be back before long!

2 /5 Rocio: Styling okay, but do not get a haircut here unless you want to micromanage. The vibe is great. Very cute place, and cool people. I Waites a while to make sure I wasn’t overreacting, BUT this was the worst haircut I’ve ever had by far. My hair looked like I had a Bob in the front and mullet in the back AFTER I went back and tried to get it fixed. I asked to keep most of my length, and that I would ideally like more volume and definition. I went with a level 2 stylist because I was finally splurging and figured I might as well go all out. They did a great job styling my hair and explaining what she was doing as she was styling it, it took a long time to style which I thought was a good sign but they used so much. Product I had dandruff from it the next day. The cut was very fast and they did not bother to part my hair before she started the cut. At the end of styling she noticed a section of hair that was a bit longer on my left side and she cut what felt like a rather large section of a very thick curl before I could react. I felt a bit rushed out the door, and after I left I was left with a section of hair about 3-4 inches longer than the rest of my hair. I think what happened was she went for that section before I left but she did so too quickly and haphazardly, cutting a very thick section off that was the WRONG section. I called a few days later to get it fixed. The communication felt not unprofessional but short. I kept prompting her to try to get rid of the obvious shelf in my hair, she just kept making the top layer shorter, but just on my left side so it is now asymmetrical. Again she didn’t bother to part my hair and didn’t ask many clarifying questions. I gave up on this place and left as it was clear that we were not seeing the same problem. Overall I’d say save your money and/or try some place else. I’m so sad and disappointed by my experience here. I grew out my hair for a year before trying this place and now feel like I have to start all over again. For a place that markets itself as catering to curly hair they really missed the mark, lots of prompting to fix an error for a place that claims to specialize in curly hair.

3 /5 Christina M: I got a curly cut at The Curly Lounge at the beginning of the summer. It was such a great experience while I was there, and my curls looked really pretty once she was done styling it. My hair stylist was also very friendly. The reason for my low review is that some strands of hair are longer than others throughout my hair. And the regrowth of my hair has been the worst ever. The stylist explained each of the products she used in my hair and said she would follow up with a list of the products. I never received any follow up though. I’ve received better hair cuts that weren’t specialized in curly hair, so I was expecting more from this salon specifically. Maybe I didn’t communicate what I wanted well enough, but I wouldn’t get a cut here again.
