5 /5 Wehikealot2: Fantastic hike to the summit. First time here and loved it! Look forward to coming back and seeing the views from the summit, unfortunately we had fog roll in and could not see the landmarks at the top. The park has something for everyone, disk golf , horse back ridding, hiking. All skill levels. Parking is $7.00.

5 /5 Alicia Bustamante: A great open hike with many different opportunities for different fitness levels plus this park is dog friendly!! This was a very busy park but you still felt like you were out hiking alone at the same time. There were numerous routes that ranged from a slow incline to very steep ones so people from all fitness levels are able to enjoy the prettiness of the area. Our favorite part was the super friendly cows that came right up to us and then followed us a part of the way. It was definitely the curious young ones who did but our dog even enjoyed getting up nose to nose to them. Definitely watch out for the big poop mounds along the trail but it was still fun. A great moderate hike.

4 /5 Lisa: I appreciate the added trails to this mountain and thank you to the Sonoma County regional Parks for their work. I had not been here in a while as there were not many trails before. The views are always quite nice. Be mindful where you step as we almost stepped on a rattler today as it was basking in the sun. The gravel road up to the park has so many dips in it you have to drive extremely slow to traverse it safely. Plenty of parking spots.

andy Light: My whole experience at safari west was enjoyable but there was one person in particular who made the trip truly magical. Our tour guide Gina was absolutely amazing! This women deserves praise and a raise. She went above and beyond the whole tour. She was fun and informative and whenever a question was asked she didn’t know the answer to she radioed the other employees for an answer. I was sitting on a bench with my brother and she came over and asked if she could take a picture of us on my phone because we looked so cute together, that was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture that was really appreciated. Thank you Gina for the excellent tour!

RODRIGUEZ Hazel “Haz”: I played in this park as a child. So I love the area that its in and it is very peaceful and quiet. And that big old tree, I used to climb that as a kid.I really loved to be able to come back and see the park was still there.

Kevin Petersen: Great hike offering great views of Sonoma valley. Some signs that are still out say some of the trails are closed but they were open when you hiked to them. Very fun way to spend half a day in Sonoma!

Steven Jetton: Extremely small parking lot. Sometimes, I have to park on the street when it is available. Otherwise, it is a park that has a playground for children, a basketball court, a picknick with barbecues and benches for eating, a tetherball or volleyball court, a small skateboard area with a small ramp, some raised edges for doing tricks, and a grassy area for other activities. Bathrooms are portapoties, no sinks for washing hands.

Pepperwood Preserve - Santa Rosa

Sandy M: Came here on for a class to learn about mushrooms. It’s a gorgeous facility with breathtaking views. We hunted for mushrooms and collected samples for the center to use as data for their research. That day we found 50+ different species, ranging from chanterelles, lion’s mane, oyster mushrooms and so forth. Be aware, this is a non-profit nature preserve and you need to check the schedule for events open to the public - you aren’t able to just show up anytime.

Luther Burbank Home & Gardens - Santa Rosa

briantravelman: Gardens were nice, but nothing worth making a special trip for. The house was unimpressive. Maybe if wed gone inside and taken a tour, wed feel different. We have something similar in our own town, thats maybe even nicer, so it was pretty underwealming.

Snoopys Home Ice - Santa Rosa

Roberta Peek: I was in the area visiting the museum and saw the Peanuts characters continue across the street so checked it out. The shrub outside shaped like Snoopy. Charlie Brown statue dressed in hockey garb. Further down near the gift shop is a Woodstock dressed as a referee and another Snoopy. As well as a star in the sidewalk for Charles Shultz. Inside the ice arena there is a cafe that is super cute with Peanuts decor from stained glass, to drawings to cartoons that line the walls. Also, the table frequented by Charles Shultz is memorialized there. From the cafe you can look on to the ice and view all the activities going on there. Its a neat place.
