St. Elizabeth Community Hospital - Red Bluff (CA)

1 /5 Melissa Smith: The whole experience was poor and below expectations. I was in a car accident and the front desk lady, nurse in the ER and the doctor in the ER treated me like I was a nuisance and wasn’t wanted. The nurse wouldn’t look at me in the eye, didn’t care to listen to my perspective and contradicted me when I was able to speak. She was angry and irritable. The doctor spent about 3 minutes examining me and forcefully pressed on my back which is where my pain was. When I grimaced and shook with his forcefulness he continued to force pressure on my back and did not ask me about my pain. It felt like I was an experiment for them to analyze. This in total was a horrible experience. I recommend that no one chooses this hospital. I was forced to go there because there weren’t other hospitals in this area. They take advantage of their patients because we have no option but to choose them. So sad and not a dignified organization.

4 /5 Cheryl Osborne: The DR was nice and thorough. They didnt seem to pass judgement. My time in the waiting room was short. Main complaint is after I saw the DR they left me in the exam room for quite some time. I finally had to go out into the hall and get someones attention. Its a good thing I did because the nurse I grabbed checked the roster and said I wasnt on it. She cleared it up pretty quickly and then they soon got me on my way. Overall, comparatively one of the best hospitals in the area.

5 /5 Deanna Sinclair: Hats off to all the nurses, even though they were short staff there was always someone willing to help. Every single nurse was kind, pleasant and actually seemed like they cared. My doctors were also amazing they explained everything in terms I could understand and were there every day to check on my progress. As uncomfortable my condition was I always felt well taken care of.

4 /5 Marian Anchors: When both Shasta Regional and Mercy Hospitals mistreated, (in this persons opinion, plain negligent decisions) my husband not once but twice......I will never go anywhere in the Shasta/Tehema County area other than St. Elizabeth Community Hospital. The staff are caring, knowledgeable, and competent in their practice. They listen and take into account the patients wishes. Thank you so much for your kindness!

2 /5 Angela Pacheco: The imaging center was great. The issue I have is with the approval department. After 3 days of waiting for approval I called to let them know that my insurance did not need approval. After many calls with no answer. Finally a week and a half later I got a call that they just received the order and I didnt need an approval. When i spoke to the imaging department they said they sent the request the day they got it, which was 10 days prior. I am not sure who was lying, but I ended up getting my CT scan at another facility the same day I took in the order. Very disappointed in the experience, especially when I am in pain and trying to get images to determine what is wrong.
