Kevin L.: I had an incredibly positive experience at City of Hope Cancer Research Hospital in South Pasadena during my moms battle with breast cancer at the age of 75. The staff at this specific facility, especially Dr. Schultz-Costello and Dr. Yeon, demonstrated exceptional thoroughness in reviewing the results, ensuring that every detail was explained comprehensively. City of Hope provided a language virtual interpreting service, enabling detailed explanations in Korean for my mom, who did not speak English. Their compassion towards my mom and our family was evident, taking the necessary time without rushing or making us feel hurried. The overall experience was not only professional but also surprisingly pleasant. We are grateful for the care and attention we received. Communication, both directly by doctors and through assistants, nurses, and receptionists, was exceptional. I highly commend them and recommend City of Hope South Pasadena, especially for those who may have had negative experiences elsewhere or felt ignored by doctors. City of Hope isnt just focused on curing cancer; it also emphasizes empathy and sympathy towards both patients and their families, navigating this challenging time together as a team. They demonstrated flexibility in scheduling chemotherapy and radiation for my mom. During her mastectomy, our surgeon collaborated with a plastic surgeon to achieve the best possible result. This collaborative approach proved critical, as my aunt recently underwent mastectomy in a poorly rated Los Angeles hospital. Comparatively, my moms surgery result was phenomenal, with significantly fewer scarring and cosmetic issues. Kudos to City of Hope South Pasadena.

susan johnstone: We will no longer be attending Family First. Dr. Ganata is ok... not great, however my biggest problem is the receptionists. They are not friendly and quite honest they are borderline hostile, always grouchy and they make you feel you are a huge bother.

JRav 59: Wow, is the office staff rude. Hang ups, transfers to nowhere and not being treated with the slightest bit of compassion. Things being lost, ignored requests or referrals/ completely forgotten. Earliest appointments scheduled 3 months out. What is the point of having a primary care phsyician? We all go to urgent care. Been waiting 6 months to get a referral to a dermatologist.

Alex Tseng: We really appreciate doctor Mena and his office team here. My father in law had liver transplant surgery long time ago out of States and really needed a specialist. And we had Dr. Mena took over his care! (How lucky we are!) He is just wonderful, extremely knowledgeable and spent time with us. Regarding to "calling office" struggling part... Well, we did struggle a bit but we totally understand that this is a busy office. If we really need something extremely emergency, we go physically. But from our experiences, you just keep calling and try to switch different extension, and all the staff would just willing to help when they talk to you!

Vilma Monzon: My uncle was feeling very sick, had a bad cough, chest pain, night sweats and he didn’t seem to improve so I took him to the Emergency room and he was seen by very kind staff, he got all kind of tests to disregard TB and overall he was well taken cared of! He was very satisfied with the services he received! Great doctors, nurses, and staff!

Alan Snitzer: My experience was outstanding. I was seen very promptly, treated well by the medical asst, Erica, and by the physicians asst, Gina, and by the support staff in both the front and back offices. Gina assessed my medical issue accurately, listened to my concerns, prescribed appropriate medications, and within a few hours or less, they were submitted to and filled by my pharmacy! Ive been a patient of Dr. Butlers and this group for over 20 years, but theyve recently "upped their game," and I couldnt be more impressed by their efficiency, professionalism, and compassion!
