  • High Tech Auto Service - Santa Monica
Wil D: I’ve been bringing my Honda Ridgeline to High Tech Auto on Lincoln Blvd in Santa Monica for the past 3 years, and I can honestly say—they’ve kept my truck running like new even with nearly 200,000 miles on it! From alternator and battery replacements to brakes, rotors, oxygen sensors, stabilizers, mass air flow sensor, gaskets, mounts and more—they’ve handled every repair and maintenance issue with top-tier precision and speed. Every time I drive away, I feel like I’m in a brand-new vehicle without the new car price tag. Not only is their work solid, but they’re fast and flexible—I’ve never had to wait long, and they’ve even worked with me on payment plans, which made a huge difference. What stands out most is how much I trust them with my car, my time, and my money. That kind of confidence is hard to come by. I first found High Tech Auto through my brother, who’s extremely particular about his cars—especially his classic ‘93 Mustang. He was impressed with their work from the start, and now I understand why. Carlos, the owner, genuinely cares about the quality of service they provide, and Caesar, the manager, is an absolute gem. He treats every customer with respect and kindness, making sure you feel heard and taken care of. If you’re looking for an honest, skilled, and efficient auto shop with heart—High Tech Auto is it. This is an update just recently went back for my brakes and rotors and the owner took care of me and kept his word on doing an exceptional job. This will always be the shop I go to and recommend for everyone I know!
EPS Automotive Service - Santa Monica
Jackson Ingraham: Absolute nightmare, took this in June 2023, they told me my brake pads were causing a squeaking sound. When the problem continued, they found something wrong with my rear axil shaft. I got it replaced for a very expensive bill. Jump to now, took my car to a different shop as it had been making some noises while driving. These guys showed me that the poor installation of the axil caused my emergency break to tear, and a hole through the plate. Double the price of the original expense, and per EPS Automotive their warranty is only a year. Absolutely no help, horrible attitude through the whole process, go somewhere else.
Lopez Auto Services - Santa Monica
Alejandro Becerra: Came for vacation out of town got out of our vehicle smelled coolant, immediately knew we had to get the radiator fixed. Reached out to Lopez Auto Services they got us in and out in about 3 hours! Great people, awesome shop..very reliable highly recommend!!!
AE German Car Service - Santa Monica
Zac Zabner: Tim and the guys here are top notch. Always honest and great communication through any issues. I’ve been taking my BMWs here for years and always feel like they are doing right by me and getting the best service and true pricing. Whether just tire and brake changes, to my recent major accident, they are a shop I can always trust to give me the best advice and end results. A much appreciated, and rare, high level of customer service these days.
    J Motors - Santa Monica
Sum Won: Refused to do my transmission fluid despite the car having been inspected and cleared by the dealer for it. Did not understand what I said to them despite clarifying multiple times that it’s all good, just needed the fluid done. Didn’t reply to my emails at all after instructing me over the phone to email them. I had to call them just to get in touch again. I’m at a loss for words honestly. I want to give 1 star but have heard those get filtered out of the overall rating at times.
26th Street Auto Center - Los Angeles
mark sandelson: Robert has consistently provided amazing levels of help and patience to the local community. I have driven in on more than one occasion with nails and or screws from local construction sites embedded in my tires. 26th St auto center always helps out at fair prices and quickly helping me get on with life. Cannot recommend a local business more than I do 26th St auto center.
Kondo Motors Automotive - Santa Monica
Lisa Grech: Wilfredo and the team of mechanics at Kondo Motors are the BEST! I have gone to them for 12 years now, and even drive up from San Diego County (yes, 5 hours round trip) and have them do my car repairs, since I moved out of the area. They diagnose the issues, give an honest and clear picture of the issues and associated estimates, and fix what is needed. Sometimes they have sent me away, letting me know there is no service needed at the moment. They do not upsell things or recommend things that are not needed. They are honest, trustworthy, kind, generous, friendly, and expert mechanics and advisors. I recommend them without hesitation and appreciate everything they have done as my trusted mechanics throughout the years. I recommend that you call to schedule in advance, as they are in demand and booked out often with their happy clients, like me!
Brunos Auto Service - Santa Monica
Piper Ogilby: Mario was so kind, I had a nail in my tire and he basically fixed it on the spot. I appreciate an independent shop — when I went to Firestone down the street I would’ve had to wait upwards of 3hrs. Thanks Mario !!
Big Q Auto Repair - Santa Monica
Ruba Elagazy: I brought my car to Big Q Auto Repair for a routine oil change — and they damaged my car during the process. They promised to send me camera footage to show what happened, but after I followed up multiple times (6 or 7 follow-ups via phone and email), they tried to tell me that they don’t even keep footage — they only have a live feed. Which is strange considering I was promised a copy of the footage that the supervisor had reportedly already seen. Worse, they’ve refused to respond to me or my attorney, and they still won’t take responsibility or cover the cost of the damage they caused. The repair requires me changing my entire front bumper and is going to cost me over $2k. Save yourself the headache — find an honest shop that stands by their work and respects their customers. I regret ever trusting Big Q Auto Repair and hope this review saves someone else from the same experience.
Santa Monica Motors - Santa Monica
Christine Stoudnor: Fantastic service. Very helpful, kind, friendly staff. Bob is great. They also do registration so you can get your current license plate stickers/tags. The place is clean & bright. They have a nice shaded patio area where you can wait. I got my car smog checked here. And they are fast - efficient. And they are also dog-friendly which gets 5 extra stars in my book
