I recently visited San Mateo Automotive for a free diagnostic and check engine light reset, After intense fear about my check engine light coming on and I couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. From the moment I arrived, they took great care of me—Staff offering me water, making me feel welcomed, and showing up for me even though it was just a diagnostic. The mechanic Mohammad was extremely honest and transparent, taking the time to explain what was going on with my car without any pressure . He confirmed my catalytic converter wasn’t an urgent issue, gave me insight into my brakes, and provided total peace of mind about my car’s condition. I’ve been to places where mechanics try to upsell unnecessary repairs, but this experience was completely different. No pushiness, just genuine care and honesty. Even though I didn’t spend money that day, I truly appreciate their time and will absolutel because he was honest and told me it wasnt a big issue I definitely will be coming back for future services. If youre looking for a trustworthy mechanic who values honesty, transparency, and customer care, this is the place to go! I highly recommend them! And Im definitely going to be returning for all my car repairs when needed, he definitely has my trust and has helped so much already. I hope anyone reading this review gives this business a chance . The guy is such a hard working person that he made sure the car gets fixed during rains and I reach home safe. Fantastic and down to earth person. The shop “stress free auto” next door is an expensive thugs, trying to make an issue about your car and charge thousands of dollars
