Ray assesses and gives me an accurate breakdown of the problem then takes a methodical approach to fix it without driving the cost up with unnecessary repairs. They are polite and put that extra effort into keeping us problem free. We are lucky to have them close to home.

5 /5 B P: My vehicle wasn’t starting, when I would put the key in the ignition, everything would turn on like the headlights, radio, etc. but when I twisted the key to turn the engine on, nothing happened. Ray at Rincon Valley Auto Repair took the time to hear me out. Then we talked about what could be done and in the end he took care of my issue (shift control cable) while helping me keep costs down. Very trustworthy, they dont try to upsell you or pressure you, these guys know what they’re doing. Give them a call, they’ll definitely be able to help.

I work at a dealership and am quite mechanical so I am aware of any bs someone could make up about a car and can confirm he knows what he is talking about, he was extremely straight forward, and extremely detailed with everything. He explained everything on the phone in detail with what he found, his personal thoughts on the car, and also sent a ton of photos of all around the car and under. Long story short I flew out to buy the car and drove it home 15 hours with no problems and instantly noticed the minor details he had told me about over the phone in detail and he was spot on. I highly recommend Dave.

Pete Sweeney: I have been to Tri-Star automotive many times over the years. Was always a good experience until my last one. They were doing work on the tire sensors and rotated the tires. They did not tighten the lug nuts on the right rear wheel. Five of the six lug nuts were about to fall off. I was able to stop, dig out my own lug wrench and tighten them back up. This was an incredibly unsafe vehicle when it left their shop. Ken did call to apologize, but perhaps a reduction in the bill might be appropriate.

I hadnt had it services in a while and was expecting all kinds of possible things that may have needed attention. They gave me a complete check up and there was only one small thing that needed attention. I was so relieved and so grateful that it was a minor fix and modest charge. I always worry being a gal that I may get taken to the cleaners when I know nothing about cars but it was the opposite feeling there. Highly professional and informative every step of the way. I will be bringing my car back for all services including oil changes from now on. I highly recommend them and applaud their integrity.

They said they had changed our oil and transmission fluid (even though my boyfriend had gotten that done a week prior). I immediately thought that they messed with something under the hood to get more money out of repairs. Jorge was able to take me in on short notice and he was able to figure out the problem.
