2 /5 Margaret: I got a manicure (builder gel, which I assumed—based on the price—would last 3–4 weeks) and a pedicure. The pedicure looks great, completed by another technician, which is why I’m giving 2 stars. However, the manicure was disappointing.
The younger technician (I didn’t catch her name) was very rough with my cuticles, to the point where I didn’t realize I had bled until I got home. I later developed scarring in those areas. Additionally, you can see in the full-hand photo that part of my cuticle skin on the thumb was stuck to the gel due to how hastily it was applied.
The attached photos were taken 13 days after the appointment. The builder gel was not filed evenly, leaving a noticeable slab-like appearance on some nails (individual nail photos). One of the nails completely came off yesterday, and another is already lifting—not even two weeks in.
It’s disappointing that such an expensive service (paid upwards $140) was performed by someone who seemed inexperienced. I came because a friend had recommended this place but I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you specifically know which technicians are the more skilled or experienced.
