5 /5 c l a r i s s a: Attending a friends piano concert here. There were art displays to look at while waiting for the concert to start and during intermission. Staff sold drinks (including alcohol) and snacks. Everything was very professional and nice and everyone was wonderful. They do accept card payments!

5 /5 Elizabeth Regalado: The Merced MAC is a great place to go when you want to experience artists work. Both local and away. There are pieces for sale and they have a large range of prices. I have seen some at $20 and some for over $1000. There were many pieces that I liked but these two were my favorite.

Elmer Murchie Park - Merced

Fernanda!: I always like coming here very nice. Good for family picnic and if you want to go swimming. Very relaxing. At the front there’s like a small shed where you have to pay but honestly every time that I come no one is there so it’s free. Always like coming here to hangout with friends :)

Merced National Wildlife Refuge - Merced

Doug Hoppe: This place is amazing particular when the snow geese and sandhill cranes are migrating to it usually between December and February. Many types of birds can be seen here. Rabbits and coyotes can also be spotted roaming the area. The five mile auto tour dirt road is in good shape so traveling through the reserve. The best time for birding and scenery is usually around sunrise and sunset (unless it is covered by fog). I find that first going to the San Luis Wildlife Refuge which is about a half hour away is beneficial as they have a nice fish and game visitors center and a ranger stationed there to answer questions. It’s not common to see a ranger at the Merced refuge unless you have a tour scheduled.

Katy Baker: Was very dirty with trash on the ground. It was a nice day and I was a bit uncomfortable by the old guys hanging out there plus someone who looks like he might be homeless.

DeAnna Briggs: Big beautiful spacious park filled with trees and squirrels! Lots of people come here to play frisbee golf, walk, jog, bike ride. This park has been cleaned up a bit but there are still lots of homeless people camped at this park…so just be alert!

Kent Clawson: This place appears to just be a vanity project to the deceased, but I am just guessing since there is no signage to inform about anything. The monument itself is only modestly maintained and there is nothing special about it. Short answer: Just keep on going unless you need to stretch your legs or clean up car sick kids.

Sondra Pierre: What a great preservation of Modoc history in these walls. Only $2.00 entrance fee and SO much to see! Friendly docent and a huge diversity of items donated by locals. Definitely worth the visit.

Patricia L Gilbert: This place is absolutely amazing the best. I go for a drive here everyday and so blessed. I see bald eagles and hawks and deer and cranes and otters and owls and pheasants and snakes you name it. Defiantly recommend this place
