  • What Clients Are Saying about Martha Walker Native Habitat Garden (on GG)
5 /5 Alan Bielefeldt: While in Skyline Wilderness park, they have this small native garden fenced in to keep animals out. It was nice to walk through and just sit for a spell to relax.
5 /5 Carrie-Anne Wood: We come here regularly with our two young kids. You can picnic on the grounds near the camp sites and then walk into the native garden for a quiet retreat. Well maintained and nice little native garden. Skyline also offers miles of trails and horse/ trailer/ camping options with full hook up.
4 /5 Carla Zuniga: Wonderful hiking, didnt get to see any flowers or gardening, maybe do to summer in california
4 /5 Jonathan Long: Nice collection of plants in a smallish garden with enough room to meander about. Many signs do need to be updated to present contemporary Native culture, which would be more informative than the English common names...
5 /5 Les Kerry: Small community maintained CA native plant garden located within a great community park. The garden is well maintained and very peaceful. Its filled with birds. My Merlin app identified 14 types of birds in 15 minutes by sound. Skyline Park has disk golf, equestrian facilities, and wonderful trails for hikers, bikers, and horses. There is also camping. This park is a secret treasure.

    Domaine Carneros
Reese: My visit to Domaine Carneros was absolutely lovely. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable—they took their time explaining each wine in our tasting flight, which made the experience both fun and informative. The tasting room had a calm and elegant atmosphere with beautiful vineyard views through the windows. It felt peaceful and relaxing the entire time. The wines were excellent, especially the sparkling ones, and the small cheese and snack platter was a nice surprise (I honestly can’t remember if I ordered it or not!). The place was clearly popular, but it never felt crowded. I’ll definitely come back again—and yes, I’m including a video because pictures alone can’t capture how nice it was!
Nevada County fair - Grass Valley
Thomas Cockman: It was like being teased and then disappointed,we used to get beautiful rides, now its like we get the scrapyard throw togethers, prizes not worth a weeks wages, and rides that your child is too tall for, lol. Yes and not tall enough for others, just bring out the swing set and put in a sandbox, and the fairboard can make more money, and get us a better "fair".
Northstar Mining Museum - Grass Valley
    Northstar Mining Museum
Lance Hodges: Fantastic experience at the Northstar Mining Museum. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and more than happy to answer questions. He even gave us a live demo of several displays, which really brought the history to life. The collection is packed with authentic artifacts—from massive Pelton wheels to historic mining tools, maps, and even old revolvers. Everything is thoughtfully arranged, and the atmosphere inside the old stone building adds to the charm. A must-visit if youre interested in local history or engineering!

Barbara Backyard: What a fun accessible playground in the middle of a neighborhood. Sign language board, wheelchair accessible ramps, plenty of shade from large beautiful trees. Fenced off and directly next store to a firestation. Parking is reasonable. Lots of kids/families using this park.

Leurinda Cole: Great dog park only concern is that sometimes dangerous dogs make their way in and other peoples dogs get hurt so beware

briantravelman: Small, but very cool museum, and its free. The Joss House is the main highlight, but there are also some cool exhibits on the Native tribes, miners and Victorian people. Should not be missed. I wish they were open more frequently.
