5 /5 Balaji G.: This is a beautiful park near Redwood city. It has a beautiful picnic area right besides the lake. There are lots of trees which provide lots of shade from the heat. The lake is also beautiful and the attraction here is that you can view lots of jellyfish in the lake. There is lots of street parking which may sometimes be occupied since there is usually football league games going on during weekends in summer. It’s a nice place to hangout and go for an evening stroll.

5 /5 Travel Dream West: Very nice, small park for dog walks, and relaxed walking, good restrooms, easy parking. Walk along the Belmont Channel of the Redwood Shores Lagoon, see water birds and many nice homes and gardens. The park features a playground and a basketball and soccer field. A waking trail leads along the water with benches to relax.

5 /5 Raihan: Artificial turf fields.Can be busy on weekends with many activities includes soccer, baseball, frisbee. Nice path along the waterway too. Plenty of free parking. Restrooms available.

5 /5 Raymond Peck: Someone at Parks &and Recreation suggested this as the best place for our sons birthday party / Nerf war. Its a really beautiful spot on an inlet, with nice bathrooms and a shady picnic table area. It was absolutely perfect for us, and well definitely be back!

The Museum of American Heritage - Palo Alto

Victor Wang: Amazing FREE museum that shows off quite a lot of history and small trinkets and artifacts. Theyve even incorporated some interactive pieces like an old telephone that you can hand crank. Lego Baylug also hosted their Lego display here and its cool to see all the lego creations (temporary exhibit).

Baylands Nature Preserve -

Arthika K: Spectacular bird watching spot in the Bay Area. Also saw a pretty speedy hare. The volunteers and organizers from the Preserve are passionate and open to answering all my questions. Joined this adventure after a seasoned bird watcher friend suggested and found this educational. Got to see a ton of birds, their habitat and hear their songs. Also learned about Fernando, the flamingo. Got a chance to view feathers under a powerful microscope to inspect the pigments. Calm and peaceful. Also has a few picnic tables and a huge parking lot.

Baylands Observation Deck and Boardwalk - Palo Alto

It’s usually not crowded, which adds to the calm vibe. There’s also a small museum at the entrance—a nice bonus for those interested in local wildlife and the area’s history. When I visited, there wasn’t much water, but the sunset reflecting on the landscape still looked stunning. Tip: It can get windy, so bring a jacket! Highly recommended for a quiet nature escape.

Whether youre there for a moment of quiet, a family stroll, or something special like a wedding, it just works. A favorite spot I’m always happy to return to.

Sankha Hota: One walking path just above a mile long. Open vista and inner most bay to see, nothing else one can do here. Peaceful as there are only few people.

namnam km: I had an overall enjoyable stay with friends at the park with friends amid covid 19. We tried to have a picnic and brought lunch. We brought picnic blanket to sit on the grass but theres not a tons of shades and the ground was bumpy and its was not that nice to sit on the grass. Theres some trees that looks really nice though. Its a place for the local neighborhood. I didnt see a lot of benches or tables but we didnt really explore the while place.

Marlene Smith: Beautiful spot to watch sunrise or sunset. Great for biking or hiking to Shoreline and back. Great for bird watchers: geese, ducks, storks, boots, seagulls. Can get windy walking along the shoreline of the bay requiring a windbreaker or jacket. Bring your camera to capture wildlife and wildflowers.
