5 /5 Anna Choumakova: My experience here was for labor and delivery and I was absolutely blown away by the incredible nurses and medical staff both on the delivery and postpartum floors! They made our experience memorable and everything felt seamless. I felt like everyone went above and beyond to provide support, communicate well and had an incredible bedside manner! I felt like I was in great hands the entire time. The facilities are also modern, comfortable and beautiful (where else do you get ocean view as you recover?!) and the celebratory dinner was a big cherry on top! I would highly highly recommend this hospital for L&D!

5 /5 Just me: I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the doctors and nurses. Seven years ago, I gave birth here. Over the years, I’ve come to realize how fortunate I was that my son was born in this place. The nurses and doctors visited me frequently, constantly adjusting my position to prevent fetal hypoxia. Now, I understand that their care might have saved my son from potential issues later on. You can have a perfect pregnancy, but the birth itself can significantly impact the child’s future. So, rest assured that here, both mother and child receive thorough attention. They will monitor you as long as needed, right up until your baby is safely born. Regarding the ward, it always felt more like being in a hotel than in a hospital. It was incredibly comfortable. An extra bonus is the special dinner they provide to celebrate the birth of your baby. I still remember those steaks—they were amazing!

5 /5 Juliza Alcazar: I delivered my baby here and it was the best experience. Better than I expected. All the nurses were awesome and encouraging. I’m so happy with the team I had. I also loved the fact that they have doulas. I got to experience having them help me out through labor and it was the most amazing experience. Very happy with how everything went. Will definitely try to deliver my next one here.

5 /5 Carrie Kelley: I just want to say thank you to the medical staff that took care of my father this past week. Even though his cancer was far too advanced to treat, they helped me and my family throughout the entire stay. They helped us walk through everything that was going to happen and set him up with a hospice team that allowed him to not be moved from his room so he could stay comfortable during his final days. Two staff members especially touched my heart, Erika and Shanice went above and beyond to show love and support through the difficult days all the way up to his final moments. The entire hospital is beautiful , it’s very clean and the staff is absolutely amazing.

Sequoia: This review is for Labor and Delivery. I gave birth to my child a few weeks ago, and it was an amazing experience!!! The Labor and Delivery team was professional, patient, sincere, and courteous. This was my third child, so I already had experience with giving birth in the health care setting. I would summarize my experience by saying that the nurses were attentive to my individual birth plan and respectful of my Christian beliefs, and the professionalism was top-tier, as my husband and I observed that the nurse team and medical staff were courteous and genuine toward me, him, and our baby throughout our stay. I HIGHLY recommend that you have your baby at this hospital!!! Shout out to nurse Adrienne, you were fantastic!!! God bless you!

Athena Baby: I wish I could give no stars. I would never go to this hospital again. They are unprofessional, they are disgusting. They do not care and the security. There are thieves every hospital who has taken my lighter. Has always given it back or put it in my bag with no problem. This hospital turned around and stole a good lighter that I had. Then when I asked it back, they said no I saw security lighting their cigarette outside with it. Do not come here at all. When I went to go also use the bathroom. What kind of hospital forgets? They have a patient sitting out in the hall. They stripped my gurney and forgot all about me. Ill say it again. I will never come here ever. I will forever be going to another hospital who actually cares

Kate Wilson: If I could give ZERO stars I would. My 3 year old daughter came in wheezing & 103 temp. The doctor not only diagnosed her incorrectly with Croup Cough, but after looking at her X-ray and told me she didn’t have pneumonia. They release my daughter with a 100. 3 FEVER STILL, and two days of my daughter continuing to decline I rush her to her pediatrician who tells me right away that she HAS PNEUMONIA. The ER department needs to do better and learn how to be compassionate especially to CHILDREN. Can’t do that? Don’t choose a profession where you have to save lives with empathy. I will be following up with the ER doctor that treated my daughter. So so disappointed in the ER but thankful there are a handful of doctors that can actually do their job.

Katrina Boggs: All I can say is Glenda & Jazmin "SAVED MY LIFE" on spot! I was actually at the Hospital visiting my friend & one of the nurses noticed I was blue and very incoherent! I was having a Heart attack right there! I got immediate attention and response team and the ladies had to do chest compressions on me to bring me back! I was gone for about 6 minutes! Im ever so thankful & grateful to all the staff there! I love them! They took excellent care of me for 5 weeks following!! Thank You Coronado!

I have tried two other networks in San Diego but Scripps is really something else. Every single time I go here, I am blown away by the amount of care and respect I get from the staffs and doctors. It’s unbelievable how fast they would communicate your test results every single time. They have been consistently amazing, responsive and caring so this review is the least I can do to thank every single person who works in the Scripps Network to make it as awesome as it is!

Sheryl Titus: 10 east worst nurses around Especially nurse Heidi bad attitudes very disrespectful. Hospitality here ucsd HILCREST is by far the worst I’ve ever seen. Came here from sharps for anaphylaxis and caught rsv and then thursh. I’m amino compromised cause I have lupus and end stage renal failure. Then they gave contrast multiple times knowing highly allergic to it regarding my allergies to it can kill me. Also did unnecessary procedures I didn’t need. I came to the hospital with one thing and ended up having more things go wrong me. Nurses are full of here very titled cause there at there pay. Bring attitudes with them to work miss treat patients. Had nurse in icu treat me bad named Lori cause she was over whelmed. Yesterday had Heidi and her little clan be disrespectful and call security on me when I wasn’t the problem they were lied and tried to play in my face and filed a false call so the floor got written up. So now all of sudden want to rush my recovery time since they messed up. Just know don’t come here unless you really have to. Or go ucsd La Jolla if you could. Horrible from the er surgery nurses to main floors come here if you wanna die or not get proper care. Or you want to be in a shared room with someone that you don’t know why there here. Go here at your own risk

I listed every symptom I was experiencing and the Doctors and nurses only worried about the anxiety and sent me away with only anxiety meds and well get a psychologist I HAVE POTS!! They didnt listen to me! Do not go here if you were born a woman they will say you are mentally ill or overweight and send you away! J. Foster WILL NOT LISTEN

Scripps Coastal Medical Center Hillcrest - San Diego

Kimberly Masiello: Scripps lab Hillcrest messed up my arm pretty seriously during a routine blood draw. I had to go to urgent care due to a possible blood clot. It was incredibly painful, and I couldnt sleep for a week in addition to the large amount of bruising. I incurred copays due to all of this. I wrote to Scripps asking them to withdraw the copays, and I received a letter saying that, "the charges are appropriate for the care and treatment provided." No kidding they are, but I would not have incurred these charges had my blood draw not gone so poorly. The lab called twice to apologize, and I appreciate that. But I should not have incurred these extra medical expenses due to no fault of my own. It was incredibly painful and continues to be. I will be writing reviews across all platforms about how poorly Scripps handled this.

Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla - La Jolla

Mrs. Gomez: I delivered a healthy beautiful surrogate baby girl on 2/14/25. This was my first time at Scripps La Jolla and I’ve never had such a great experience during childbirth like I did this time. From the moment I checked into L&D the nurses immediately took care of me. My midwife on call for my doctor both were absolutely incredible. I love that they asked what I wanted and also provided me guidance and options during my entire labor experience. My nurses during childbirth and postpartum care were very supportive. I was well taken care of during my stay here. I appreciate the nurses because you can tell this wasn’t just a job for them but something they are passionate about doing and absolutely love. If you haven’t had your baby here and you’ve been wondering about your experience here I’d highly recommend it. Thank you L&D plus postpartum nurses and doctors for taking care great care of me, the parents, and baby!

Scripps Green Hospital - La Jolla

Emily Byrnes: Being in the hospital is never easy, but my family members have been hospitalized here twice in the last couple of years for orthopedic procedures. The floor they are admitted to is extremely large and busy but the nursing staff are excellent. Will be back. Special thanks to the nurse who moved my father to a nice room with a view to help with his recovery. That meant more than anything, thank you for listening to us. Thank you Scripps !
