06-2025 Irvine Spectrum Center Giant Wheel in Hight rate 19 location for tourist in Irvine, CA, USAIRWD San Joaquin Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary - Irvine Agustiny Moningka: I love this place and have been there multiple times. The over 300 acres coastal freshwater wetlands will surprise you each time you visit as you wouldnt know what animals you would encounter each time you go.
If you love walking in nature and like to be able to come close to some ducks and birds, this is a great place to be spending a few hours. I certainly spend around 3 hours each time I visit.
Morning is a better time to go as you would see more animals rather than in the afternoon.
I have been there one early morning when it was so foggy, but I was truly entertained by a large group of geese swimming in harmony, and all I heard was their sound, loud and clear. It was such a beautiful morning.
Jack & Shanaz Langson Institute & Museum of California Art (Langson IMCA) - Irvine Katelyn Do: I’ve been twice now and it’s so cute inside! I really like the current exhibition bc it’s all California costal paintings and they’re gorgeous.
I appreciate how they have title cards with some explanations or background for the pieces.
The front has a room to do different rotational crafts. The staff is really friendly and eager to answer any questions. There’s free postcards of some of the painting there to take + they validate parking!
You could spend anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour depending on how long you want to take. It’s not super big, but helps to not be super overwhelming either.
William R Mason Regional Park - Irvine Maika Rothfuss: We absolutely loved this park! We were in the area for a show and stopped here beforehand. It was a beautiful day to walk around, enjoying the lake and nature. Perfect place for taking pictures, having a picnic, playing outdoor games, going for a walk/jog, or just napping in the grass. There are loads of turtle, geese, ducks, and also some frogs. (Please be mindful not to feed them or leave trash, it really isnt good for them.)
There is a small entry fee. The park is wonderfully maintained and we spent a good few hours there, just enjoying the afternoon. I do recommend wearing sunscreen or a hat on sunny days.
Great Park Balloon Ride - Irvine Nafeesah A Kincy: I had such an amazing time. I was a little apprehensive about being that high in the air but something in my gut told me to just go forward and do it and I’m glad I did. It was so peaceful. It was fun. It was exciting all of those things wrapped into one I felt very secure. The weather was perfect. The cost was $10 for the ride and while you wait for your turn, you have the choice to get on the merry-go-round. There’s also a park for children to play while you wait I definitely plan on going again
Turtle Rock Nature Center - Irvine Javan: My sons wedding at Turtle Rock was a beautiful celebration of love. The staffs exceptional service and the stunning venue created an unforgettable experience for all. We couldnt have asked for a more perfect day.
Irvine Park Railroad - Orange Mischel Bartie: Fun little park. My kid loves the train. We always hit up the zoo while were there because for $2, why not? The holiday stuff is always fun but I def recommend going on a weekday if you can.
Irvine Spectrum Center Carousel - Irvine Jen Y.: Always a fun thing to do with kids. Its $4 for a ticket but adults can accompany a child for free (standing next to child on the ride). The line always moves pretty fast. Its in an area of the mall with a little water feature and a play structure. Its a good way to entertain little ones for a bit.
Parasol Park - Irvine Alicia Marin: NOT A PUBLIC PARK. You cannot use the restrooms. Otherwise, a cute park with wooden play structures, basketball courts, and volleyball courts. The highlight would be a seated Zipline for the kids, but as of 11/30/24, its broken.
Beacon Park - Irvine JJ JJ: Really, really nice, clean and safe park for families, especially for kids. I dont know what one has to earn to afford living in this community but they are so lucky to be able to enjoy this park everyday. There is also a school across. Very well planned community. Although I dont have have the money to live here, it gives me a glimpse of what American Dream is like. Residents of this park are truly blessed! Two negatives: 1)Swimming pool is rather small compared to the size of the community. For that, I blame the shortsighted developer or the architecture firm who designed it. A park this size deserves at least a Junior Olympic sized pool. 2)Some dog owners are irresponsible and dont pick up their pets poops. I came across several dog poopoos on the sidewalks. Those dog owners deserve fines because its unsanitary to have dog fecal matters where so many kids run around.
Irvine Ranch Historic Park - Irvine Steve D: I found the park to be nicely restored and very welcoming. Its great to see what the Irvine home looked like many years ago and learn about the lifestyle of the farm workers. I was a lifeguard for the ranch pool 45 years ago. The pool is now filled in with concrete. See picture. Worth a visit. I think the park can be reserved for group events as there is a BBQ and picnic area.
