5 /5 Jen Y.: Always a fun thing to do with kids. Its $4 for a ticket but adults can accompany a child for free (standing next to child on the ride). The line always moves pretty fast. Its in an area of the mall with a little water feature and a play structure. Its a good way to entertain little ones for a bit.

3 /5 Kyle Tucker: On the back of Target at the Irvine Spectrum Center there’s a carousel one of two in Irvine. I would say my favorite is at the Great Park. But when the child wants to go on carousel at that young age. You can’t say no!! The lady running the ride, I’m not sure if she had a bad case of "carouselitis" or if she was auditioning for the role of Grumpy Cat, but this lady had a face that could rival a bank vault. I mean, even cute kids saying hello couldnt crack that expression. But hey, were here for the ride, not a stand-up comedy show that’s what the Irvine Improv is for. But hey, for only $3 per child, who can complain? And heres a golden nugget of information: if youre an adult accompanying a child under 40 inches, you get to ride for free! Talk about a deal thatll make your inner child jump for joy. Just make sure youre ready to stand next to your pint-sized companion, because you dont want to be that adult squeezed into a kiddie seat. Trust me, its not a good look.

Additionally, I noticed a lack of friendliness among some employees at noon. With a few adjustments to enhance ride duration and improve staff friendliness, this carousel could easily elevate its appeal.

Irvine Ranch Historic Park - Irvine

Steve D: I found the park to be nicely restored and very welcoming. Its great to see what the Irvine home looked like many years ago and learn about the lifestyle of the farm workers. I was a lifeguard for the ranch pool 45 years ago. The pool is now filled in with concrete. See picture. Worth a visit. I think the park can be reserved for group events as there is a BBQ and picnic area.

Jessica Regan Rosenstein: Ashley and the rest of the staff at the animal hospital were amazing. Very compassionate and caring of such a hard situation. Ashley, went above and beyond to provide comfort and accommodate us. She explained everything so there were no surprises and we even got to go outside with my girl for her final moments with us. Couldnt of found a better place for my best friends farewell.

Irvine Regional Park - Orange

James Elsis: My 3 year old loves the pony rides and the train playground is great as well. Lots of great trails to walk. Awesome and affordable Zoo. Even the snack bar isnt half bad. Always fun things to do during the holidays as well. Lots of beautiful roaming peacocks. Parking is cheap. Its a good time for the whole family and fairly affordable. Lots of beautiful old trees to see as well.

Tanaka Farms - Irvine

Ari: this place is great! the tour guide lady (who’s also our cashier at the produce farm) is super nice and did a great job showing us the place. the wagon tour is so fun and the strawberry picking is fun! they said the strawberries can be picked and eaten right away. i checked the strawberries and they really do look quite clean. my friends and most people were picking and eating but i was too hypochondriac to do that. i will report back if they do have diarrhea after. the animals are very cute and the goats are so personable and would come to people to get pets!! the horse is also so chill. the cow looks a bit aloof and the turkey, as advised on one of their posters, really does bite (my friend found it out the hard way against our warnings). the produce shop has so many great stuff to offer for really good prices too. def book ahead of time and show up on time. for this place, those things really do matter.

Leif Satermo: Its actually really good, big playground with a field and a volleyball court? Count me in. Like most Irvine parks, theres tons of trees and picnic tables and no public restroom.

Tony Babarino: If you’re looking for a very large park that’s relatively hidden from view unless you know exactly where it is, then this is a place for you! Big wide open space is surrounded by a lot of trees with a small river flowing through it. Plenty of options for the children to play outside on a couple of different playground sets with several swings, enjoy the cool shade in breezes even on a warm day while feeding the ducks that often populate the small river with a bridge over it. For me, there’s always been plenty of parking and there’s never a bad day when visiting this park with my kids! As a full-time real estate agent in Irvine, I’ve been in this community many, many times over the years helping sellers and buyers so I very familiar with the area and this park and location in general just never seems to get old.

Bentley P: We had an absolute blast here. We chose the special ops challenge and it was indeed pretty challenging. We ended up finishing using one clue and with 3 1/2 minutes left. Our whole group really had a great time. We will definitely come back sometime.
