    Sam Ringenberg: They get two stars, because I used to like this place. That ended this week. I called on Monday as my catalytic converter was stolen, and Steven told me it would be around $1500, and be done Tuesday or Wednesday. I’m now leaving on Friday for nearly triple the cost. I cannot fathom how being that far off, on an estimate of cost, or time, is acceptable. If you have a nail in your tire, you can go here. If you have real work you need done? Do better research than I did.

    iiAchilles: I stumbled upon Victors shop since he had helped out on my moms car. I have a 2020 BMW M550i with a CEL, and silly old me took it to the stealership at Monrovia where they quoted me over 5K to fix (they didnt even know the problem??) I took it to Victor, and although it took awhile (2~3 weeks i forgot) he kept me updated, and fixed the issue at less than half of the cost quoted. Ever since then my car was running without issue! Im writing this review today to give credit where its due! 6 months later taking my car to the stealership for my prepaid plan they told me I had a leaking coolant signs. They again quoted me a ridiculous amount such as 1K, stating they dont know what it is but thats what itll cost to fix it. I took it to Victor in the morning - he calls me at the end of the day to pick up the vehicle. Turns out one there was a small leak on one of the hoses. He didnt even charge me a dime for the hose, which was such noble act on his part! This is the reason im going to keep taking my car to Victor and his crew - its hard to find honest mechanics nowadays, but i can assue you Victor is one of them! Thanks again Victor!!!

    EYES 2 SEE: These guys are some of the best, if not THE BEST mechanics I know of in the LA area, possibly all of Southern California. Or who knows, maybe the world? All I can tell you is these guys know what theyre talking about. And they dont make you feel small to help themselves seem like the experts. Theyre true masters at their craft.. radiators and auto services. Humble and incredible execution EVERY TIME!. And talk about nice as can be. Ive been to many mechanics around LA, many with 5 star ratings. All bad. One wanted to replace my ENGINE, kid you not, because THEY put my thermostat ($20 part) back in upside down and it caused an overheat condition! Most house moms dont know any better. "Oh my blinker fluid is low?" Avoid the f around and find out shops! Theyre out there, lurking. Take my word for it. Give yourself PEACE OF MIND & COME TO DEL MAR AUTO where they literally treat you like family! Excellent Excellent Excellent!!

    J L: There was a point in time where I believed that Joe Demerjian was a huge benefit to the local communities, sadly this opinion has changed over the last few months. Here is what happened, I contacted him in November about doing the wheel bearing on my Toyota Avalon as it was making a ton of horrible noise he suggested doing both front ones at the same time I was in agreement with this. I asked him if I brought in the bearings that I wanted to use he was fine with this. The day of the project I dropped off the car and everything and went about my day. I got a call from him mid to late morning telling me that I needed a "NEW CV Axel shaft because mine broke" CV Axel shafts do not "MAGICALLY" break on their own. He told me that it did and I needed to replace it or the car would not be able to be reassembled. _____________________________________________________________ Couple months after I took my car to get the tires rotated at a place near my home, and the shop brought to my attention that my front lug nuts were fully destroyed. Whom ever took the front wheels off last time they just allowed the nuts to hit the ground which caused a lot of external physical damage to them. As a result of all of this I would NOT trust Joe Demerjian with anything again.
