1 /5 LSTNLNE: 7 day Instal nighmare (con)
My car has been at One Stop Auto, 7325 Redwood Blvd, Novato, CA., w ASE mechanics for 5 days trying to firgue out what Hamilton Auto Repair messed up on my IID install. Check out the pic- a group of wires from the harness that Emerson torn off the installation of one wire to the starter, while he was poking around trying to find the wire to the PCM to splice into for the IID. The short was causing the parasictic leak that would drain my battery overnight and/or cause mis-starts. Just think this could be your vehicle. Last thing you want is some amateur self proclaim certified IID novice hunting for wires stripping others by accident and causing them to short out, leaving you without transportation. My full refund didnt cover the cost of finding the short, or putting up w Leos attitude. Hamilton, or their afilliates should NOT be in the IID installation business-they had my car for 7 days and couldnt find the proplem, which they cause. It took One Stop another 5 days to find and fix their short.
My Landlady recommended One Stop to me 6 years ago- lease, I know where to take my car for future service. Mike, Kelly & Stan were professioial and got the install done right- they even have the cord going to the center console, instead of btw my legs under the sterring wheel. Now to wait for my new battery tie down post to secure my battery, which Hamilton lost and to replace the plastic bolts on the battery fascade that they broke. I highly recommend One Stop for IID - do it once do it right - installs.
