Rich Bordwell: I am looking for a new church and when I came in I was very welcomed and felt like they (staff and pastor) cared. Pastor Savage has ask if I would like to do coffee so we could talk about what I am looking for in a church body. VERY NICE!
Adrienne Boswell: The best thing about Holy Family Catholic Community is that everyone is welcome, no matter your faith. I have been going to this church for 14 years. My son was baptized there, had religious education and First Communion. I received my Confirmation sacrament there as well. The church is lovely, and the organ is amazing. Dr. Christian Marcoe leads absolutely breathtaking choirs. Fellowship in the court yard after Mass often has donuts and sometimes fabulous treats like homemade tamales!
Robyn Mei M: I go here for the Filipino mass every 3rd Sunday of the month at 2PM. Homily and the worship songs are great! After mass they gave free snacks.
Angie P: Central Avenue Church is a church unlike one youve ever gone to before.
The values of the church are progressive, lgbt-affirming and push for a space where its okay to have doubts. There are a lot of folks who have been isolated or left lonely by the "church" but Central is a place to openly doubt and ask questions and feel comfortable in the space of unknowing.
The church is very service-based and gay friendly and truly about social justice in the world.
Grant Williams: We moved to the Pasadena Area 5 years ago, and revisited this Church that we had attended nearly 15 years before for about 3 years during my Residency at USC. We were looking for a loving family environment, and felt immediately welcome. With 11,12 and 18 year old children, our decision largely depended upon them finding a place where they fit in. After several visits, my 12 year old son looked at me and said, "lets stay here, it feels like home." We have been blessed ever since with our new family and have become involved in the ministry that this congregation does among its members and outreach to the community. This is a great place to find God, Worship Him, and do his work in this world.
Liza Angeles: My kids attend VBS (vacation bible school) at this church and their program make a great impact on my children. Although were not members of this congregation, this church along with their staff are commendable.
