5 /5 Daniel Vartabedian: After having taken my car to three other shops to look for a leak in the air conditioning unit and shelled out approximately $800 across the three I was feeling pretty sure my 2015 would never have air conditioning again. Not only did they charge it but they actually found a leak which they demonstrated to me so I was able to verify there was indeed a leak for a small fee of $300 later I have been driving the car now for nearly 3 months and the air conditioning works wonderfully. It should also be noted that the third of the other shops I had gone to had already resigned the point and told me I should just replace the entire unit of the air conditioning for a grand total of $4000.

Im a single mom and do not know much about vehicles, he was very helpful informative and explained to me in detail exactly what was wrong with my Air conditioner. He even took the time to actually show me the problems it was having under the hood so I got a better understanding. He was reasonable and got the job done in a timely manner as promised. I highly recommend Mario and his shop and will come back for any future repairs. God bless and thank you.

1 /5 Robert Guevara: Dont come here ever, the owner is very disrespectful towards customers. He couldnt fix my AC on my car and wouldnt give me back my refund and he became hostile when I asked questions.

Matthew Perez: I feel compelled to share that the owner here is honest and genuine. I came here to get my 1997 Chevy Tahoe looked at because it just wasnt running right. Mind you, I had some work done to it prior to coming here, but it was still off. They hooked it up for a diagnostic and showed me the codes. At that point, they were straight up and told me that they do not specialize in that type of repair. They even suggested another local business to go to. They proceeded to do the oil change that I asked for, and thats all they charged me for. The owner said he wouldnt charge me for the diagnostic because they couldnt fix anything. I would highly recommend this shop!

Vince Munn: Avoid This Shop – Especially for Smog-Related Repairs My 1985 Mercedes 380SL has been at VPAuto in Merced since February 20, 2025. It was supposed to be done in one week. They submitted a repair bill one day after dropping off the car using the entire $850 California emissions voucher (Valley CAN), but all they replaced were the spark plug wires and distributor cap — no rotor, no spark plugs, nothing else. Certified California Smog Repair Voucher Misuse. It’s now been almost 3 months, 88 days and the car still isn’t ready. I’ve been repeatedly told “next week,” with no clear answers. I’ve contacted Valley CAN and the California Bureau of Automotive Repair and filed formal complaints. The person at the front office of VP Auto was also rude on the phone and dismissive when I asked for clarification. Very poor customer service. I would not trust this shop again. If you’re part of a California State Smog Program, especially, be careful. This has been a frustrating, time-wasting experience.
