05-2025 Courtney Pickron Studio in The Best 19 Hair Salon in Ukiah, Mendocino Country Retro Lux Hair Salon - Merced Ri: Its hard for me to trust people with my hair but I had a good experience with them last time, so I decided to come again.
I booked my appointment with Charla on Jan 21st for 1pm. Shes phenomenal, so skilled.
Charla worked fast, but she was precise n careful. She made it look so effortless to cut hair. Shes been doing this for 30 years, I think, she said ^.^
But i LOVED my haircut. I hardly get haircuts, but im trying lmao
i was sooo happpyyy n couldnt contain my excitement when i got home
Charla also did me a favor and used the thinning shears, i believe, to make the top layers more lighter since i have thick hair. i didnt ask, she just knew what to do (she did let me know)
She gave me EXACTLY what i wanted and made it suit my face so good (obviously i did my own research beforehand on what my face shape is and what would suit it best).
I asked for a short side bang, short layers & to keep my length. Then, I showed her 9 reference photos that I had ready. She said my reference photos looked like a long shag so thats what i went for.

Tuluz Beauty Salon - Merced Tau C.: I scheduled an appointment to get my hair cut and it was one of the best experiences Ive had at a hair salon. The atmosphere was very friendly and inviting and I deeply appreciated how careful and precise Tuluz was. I wasnt certain what to expect, but Tuluz exceeded my expectations and I absolutely love the new hair style that she gave me. I felt that she really understood what I liked even with the limited guidance that I had. I highly recommend her services and I will definitely return for a visit in the future when I can!
The Mane House Beauty Salon - Merced Andreaus Santos (Saintxsantos22): The Mane House Beauty Salon provides excellent Men’s hair cuts. They also do my mom and sisters hair extensions and eye lashes. Amber and Ashley provide great services. I highly recommend.
Luxe Republic Salon - Merced Mia Ramirez: My mom and I got our nails done by Krystal, and what can I say--- the service was poor quality. Truly, if I could give zero stars, I would. We were both cut with what seemed like a used and worn out nail file. Most importantly, in my moms case, the "final product" was horrible. The manicure was not the same design she asked for, and the nail polish was outside of the nail itself, therefore, making the whole thing messy. Lastly, the other manicurist who was working during the time we were there cursed so much. I dont mind if youre the cursing type, but dont be yelling it around clients. BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
Lavish Beauty Salon - Merced Vanessa Morales Ortega: i’ve been going to lavish beauty salon for about 6-7 years! liz has always left me more than satisfied with my service. i’ve gotten multiple things done to my hair such as blonde highlights , full blown blonde, burgundy, blonde again, pink, brown, red, brown again, and now i’m going blonde with sessions! she’s always accomplished to do all this without damaging my hair and giving me the best tips to maintain my hair at home! this is the #1 person i will never gatekeep because she’s the best!!
Hairdressers Workshop - Merced It’s Jesss: Cecy did an amazing job. I really loved the way my hair turned out. This was my first time and I have really dark hair. It lighten up amazingly. Prior to this I have not dye my hair over 1-2 years. She is such a sweet lady and really worked with me. Was very detailed and thorough. Really good customer service. I am very impressed and never has been satisfied like this before with my hair. So glad I found her. Highly recommend.
