5 /5 Tiffany Ballew: Ive taken multiple cars to Kevin for the better part of 2 decades. He is not only an honest mechanic, hes a good man. Hes tuned up little things he came across while fixing the main issue, at no charge. As a woman, one can be taken for a fool by a mechanic and the next thing you know what should have been a simple fix becomes a litany of fictional issues with whatchamacallits and girlywigs. My vehicles always ran well upon leaving, at or below the quoted price. In the last 20 years I wish Id found a partner I could trust as much as I do this mechanic. Men have come and gone, but Ive been loyal to the guy who has always done right by me and my cars. This is a great local business and I wish I could give Codoni 6 stars.

5 /5 Jayce Locke: This is a great shop. Terrific communication and expertise. I’ve been moving across the country / internationally every couple years for a long time so I’m always in a new place struggling to find a good mechanic. It’s nice to know I always have one in the Bay Area where I will be staying long term. My truck was in a different shop for a few months with that mechanic saying it would be too much of a pain to work on it due to underbody rust. I finally gave up and towed it to a new shop and chose Codoni’s. I messed up my first appointment and Maria was very patient and understanding during my rebooking. Once I got the truck there, Kevin gave me a thorough overview of the plan and picked update points where he would call back to see if I wanted to take another step in the repair. After a few months of problems in a different shop, Kevin and Maria only needed a day to have my main problem and a bunch of other inconvenient issues all squared away. Impressive. Thanks!

1 /5 Fred Baker: The front desk lady and the owner were both horribly and unnecessarily rude! I merely asked what the price of an oil change would be and she told me she didnt know and then got the owner Kevin on the phone who was angry and told me, "Im not interested in working on your car." And hung up. I called back to mention how rudely I was treated and he told me to buzz off! Id stay away from Cadonis Auto. They are rude and they are shady!

3 /5 Marisa Hoke Fazi: Codonis has been an excellent mechanic shop for generations, with honest mechanics who do a good job and have always gone the extra mile. Kevin Codoni and his father before him have serviced our family cars for 45 years. Whenever I came to pick up my car, the mechanic, be it Kevin, Brandon or someone else, would spend a minute chatting with me about what was done on the car, what should be done soon, what could wait awhile or what mechanical work need not be done, and we would catch up with each other for a minute, normal interaction between shop-people and their customers, after especially after a four-decade relationship. I always knew that I wasnt being up-sold,  had a trustworthy thorough mechanic and enjoyed a cordial client-customer experience. It had been a friendly, welcoming neighborly shop, until several years ago when his wife started working there, and then all of a sudden almost every l time I would bring a car in to be serviced, I would be coldly greeted (if at all), and treated rudely by her at the reception desk.  The past several times weve taken our cars there she has actually tried to prevent me from interacting at all with the mechanics when forever we have always just touched base on what was or wasnt done, be it Kevin, Brandon or someone else. The last time I was there, she told me that the mechanics dont have time to talk with customers, and to not waste their time and take them off a job (even though that is  finishing up my job when I pick up a car). Maria has been consistently rude and confrontational in just about every interaction with her I have had over several years, something I usually overlook because of the mechanics and the fact that Kevin is her husband, and nothing at all like her. Today when I called to schedule a lube oil and filter change, she said coldely that  the shop would not service my cars anymore, and hung up on me. The shop also has switched to cash. I was told that they no longer accept credit cards because they dont want to pay the transaction fees.

5 /5 G M: Been going to Codoni’s Automotive for years. Every interaction I’ve ever had with the owner (Kevin) has been informative, clear and down to earth. All the work is performed with the highest degree of skill and the prices are very competitive. They are the best mechanics and professionals in the business. - Gary
