Robert Legnitto: Mike did an excellent job! Great service!
    Oliver Automotive - Novato
Mary Stompe: Always excellent service. I’ve been going to Oliver’s for years, and I have only ever gotten the truth and a real fix for my car troubles. When I was deciding between two cars to buy, I knew I could rely on them to give me a real answer when I called and asked “which car has less maintenance issues?” I got a clear and succinct answer, and I am very pleased to say that they were spot on. My car is reliable and easy to maintain, and whenever something does come up, I know that I can rely on Oliver Automotive to have my back.
Hamiltons Automotive Shop #2 - Novato
Adam Klugman: A great team of people that really pulled through for me! My daughters van broke down with some mysterious problem a thousand miles away from home and I pulled them off the internet totally at random. I got very lucky! We were freaking out a bit but Leo stayed really calm and just got the job done. He reassured me that they have three shops that they can confer with and he just kept plugging away until he figured it out. He and Carlos were respectful and incredibly patient with my daughter and me and they came through like heroes. Thank you, guys! We will forever appreciate you for the way you went above and beyond that day. AND...they were really fair on the price. Just a 5 star experience from start to finish.
    Genuine Motors - Novato
seb pochat: Dave, Jeff and Ted at Genuine Motors have always been amazing and very professional. I had a few issues and the Jeep dealers refused to work on my modified vehicle. So Dave & Jeff took a look and were able to locate the issues fix the passenger door , replaced the left rear bent axle and replace the coil springs and shocks. To bring our vehicle back in proper working order. Thank you :)
    Scan Auto - Novato
Rolf Banning: While you might be put off by the small shop, owner Gary McGowan brings more than 20 years of domestic and foreign auto repair including 10 years at the BMW dealer. If you want a no-nonsense, honest repair facility, you can’t go wrong here.
    Arnolds Garage - Novato
Miss Turnbaugh: Rod takes”top notch” car repairs to a whole new level. As a long time business owner and resident in Novato it is nice to know there is a trust worthy, despite GENDER, mechanic in town. He works closely with his employees whom I have always found kind and attentive to my specific automotive needs and the busy life that comes from being a single Mom who cannot go long without her car! Thanks for the past 18 years of service! I hope that you continue to provide the availability and reasonable repairs for years to come! Cheers!
Buddys Auto body & Restoration - Novato
Lino M. Amaral: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I brought my 1968 C-10 pickup to Buddys Auto Body & Restoration for a full paint job, and they absolutely exceeded my expectations. The quality of the work was outstanding—great bang for the buck! What really stood out was how Buddy and his team took a genuine interest in my vision for the truck. They respected the personal history behind it and treated it like more than just a job. That kind of care and attention is rare these days. He definitely makes you feel part of the family! I’ve already referred a close friend and will continue to send people Buddy’s way—he’s just that good! If you’re looking for quality craftsmanship and honest service, this is the place to go!
    Baldwins German Autowerks - Novato
R P: I took my 2015 Porsche 911 turbo s to Baldwins for an oil change as their prices seemed more reasonable than other shops. They finished the oil change on time. When I got home, I noticed coolant dripping from the rear. I immediately called them as I thought it was oil. The owner immediately called me back and told me that to be safe I should not to drive the car. When I checked the coolant level was full. They arranged, at their cost, a flat bed to pick up the car. On examination (pressure test) it was determined that the coolant cap (they had checked the coolant) was likely old and not sealing well. They replaced the cap at their cost. No more leaks. I was impressed with their commitment to their custmers, honesty and highly recommend them.
    Thorssons Auto Center - Novato
David Stevenson: Took my truck to Thorsson’s for an oxidation fix on the hood and top of cab. They did a FANTASTIC JOB! Out of the three appraisals I got, theirs was the honest one. I was very grateful for the honesty and information they gave. It’s really nice to see that there are still people out there like that. So, if you need work done, everyone I encountered there was extremely nice, helpful and honest. Give them a try, you won’t be sorry.
    G & C Auto Body, Inc. - Novato
Emil Rustamov: While the car was repaired and returned to me, the quality of the work—specifically the paint on the fender—did not meet a professional standard. I returned the very next day due to this one visible imperfection that my wife noticed. The team made an effort to polish and work the area, but eventually admitted they couldn’t correct the issue. What was really disappointing, however, was the response from your manager, Jose. He told me, “I gave you a really good deal on it. This is as good as it’s gonna get.” Frankly, that felt condescending and dismissive, especially coming from a business in Marin County that I expected to uphold higher standards. He then claimed that the paint had a previous damage, which was simply untrue and added to the frustration. It felt like the conversation shifted from resolving the issue to deflecting responsibility, which was unfortunate. Although CSAA recommended this location, and my overall interaction with Elden as well as his professionalism was reassuring, the follow-up left me disappointed.(Elden was out on vacation). While I can live with the imperfection in the paint, I feel that, the way Jose, the store manager spoke to me was unacceptable. Telling a customer, “this is as good as it’s going to get” and "there is nothing well do for you" after acknowledging the issue—not only felt dismissive, but also lacked the professionalism I’d expect from a business in Marin County. Reverting to dishonesty is not the way to handle a shortcoming. Regardless of the outcome, I believe how clients are treated matters just as much as the quality of the work. Unfortunately, based on this interaction, I cannot recommend this location despite what started as a positive experience and while most of the work was done correctly.
