4 /5 Spanish Fly: Its a big, beautiful park located in a not so nice area im Salinas, Ca. Due to construction within the park, it is temporarily closed. At least, the signs posted say it is closed. There were lots of people there with their dogs even though there were many signs prohibiting dogs from entering the park. There are many tables throughout the park ,and a large pond with a few ducks I think this park is really cool and I would like to visit again. Hopefully, the graffiti at the entrance is removed and those responsible for vandalizing get a life .

4 /5 Eisen Laucik: Good for a jog, locals play soccer or ride bike here. Pretty clean and not too busy.

5 /5 MARi SOl: Plenty of space, families all around area, restrooms near by(use at your own risk), nice running trail along park.

2 /5 Rich Man: Its in pretty sad shape. Didnt spot one single green blade of grass. Grounds were completely dry. Bathrooms were atrocious. The only positive were the childrens play areas. Relatively clean, and the equipment good. Hardly anyone was using the park on a incredibly nice, sunny day. We could see why.

2 /5 Christian Perez: The park has trash all over the area. Theres litter at every corner you go and the vegetation that was once there died. The park isnt bad but it would be better if the area was clean and had good vegetation again.

Cecilia bode: Such a hidden gem! I was awed by how much information the tour guide had, and although the main exhibit is still in the works I was completely amazed! The number of authentic artifacts and one of a kind specimens was unmatched, dating back to even thousands of years old fossils. This is perfect for history lovers and learner alike! I would suggest calling in advance because it is still in the works!

Sherwood Park - Salinas

Salas Json “J-Gante”: We absolutely love this play yard, park area food our 3 year old daughter. It is completely fenced in, has injury free flooring and the bathrooms are well kept. Networking with the other parents was and is awesome to do! To let your child make friends and enjoy the ample space to roam is great for the kids. We usually take snacks and water for the kids. Its never a dull moment when here, laughter and smiles are in abundance!

Salinas River National Wildlife Refuge -

Darrell Stanaford: 5* for nature & serenity, 3* for isolation & lack of amenities. A little visited spot just off Hwy 1 with beautiful wetlands and isolated endless beach running north to the mouth of the Salinas River. No toilets, water or trash cans. Parking reached via dirt road (1 km) that can be impassable after heavy rain (offering the option of adding a muddy extra km to your hike). Sign says open sunrise to sunset.

Delilah Brunke: This definitely is NOT a swimming beach, but the wildlife and view of a more tumultuous coast is pretty darn cool. The sandy path to the beach is a jaunt, especially for kids, and the fact that some people bring horses and other animals and dont clean up after them ON the path isnt great. But its worth a visit to sit and see the ocean.
