The moment I stepped in the church for the first time I instantly felt the presence of God. The sermons are relatable and are taught verse by verse. I love Pastor Ricks teaching style. He has a great practical way of relating the Bible to the real world and our everyday lives! I highly recommend this church to anyone looking for a new church home.

5 /5 abby eldridge: This is a wonderful church! The people here are so welcoming and friendly. Calvary Chapel teaches through whole Bible. The pastoral staff is super dedicated and really honestly cares about the people they serve. There are services on Sunday mornings that begin at 10:00 and Thursday evenings at 7:00. I could go on but check it out for yourself! (As a side note Calvary Chapel rents from a Hispanic Seventh Day Adventist church so dont be confused by the sign if is says that.)

The people are a supportive group organized into homegroups that care for the people of the church. There is an emphasis on practical outreach as well as global missions. The hard issues are talked about and wrestled with both in sermons and in small groups. The sermons and structure are actively centered around scripture. The elder led, multiple teaching pastors approach brings healthy balance. I could probably say more but suffice to say, I would highly recommend checking it out.

Luke Scott: My wife and I attended Calvary this morning while in Santa Barbara on vacation. We decided to try it out because it was one of the local churches listed on the 9Marks church directory. Several church members warmly greeted us when we arrived. Music style was a mix of hymns and contemporary praise, all very singable and not showy. Pastor Michael’s expository preaching was engaging and edifying. I would highly recommend Calvary Baptist Church to anyone who is visiting the area or looking for a home church.
