Griffith Observatory - Los Angeles Christina Gleason: Parking was a nightmare, and though theres no entry fee, we essentially paid $60 to get in as parking fees. We had to drive around the mountain several times before an accessible parking space opened up, as street parking was completely inaccessible with the climb and no sidewalks for wheelchair users.
However, once inside, we had an amazing time. We attended all the free talks and demonstrations, and we paid for two planetarium shows. The staff members were talented and knowledgeable, and I was happy to realize that more presentations were given by disabled staff members than not.
The only inaccessible thing was the old telescope, which was obviously built before anyone ever considered that anyone would need to get up there in a wheelchair. But since I am an ambulatory wheelchair user, my husband carried my chair up the three steps to get in while I used my cane to get up them. Other visitors were kind enough to let me go ahead of them, and I used my cane to climb the several steps to look through the old telescope. If you are unable to navigate a few stairs, unfortunately you wont be able to do this. But everything else is completely accessible, and staff members were happy to get us in and out of elevators for planetarium access.
We had a wonderful day at the Observatory. I highly recommend it to people of all ages and abilities. Check their programming schedule online ahead of time to best plan your visit!
Paramount Pictures Studio Tour - Los Angeles Patrick Min: We had an incredible 2-hour weekday tour, which was a fantastic experience. We learned a wealth of behind-the-scenes stories and the rich history of Paramount Pictures Studio. With four tour options available, the 2-hour tour perfectly fit our schedule and was worth it. Our tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and informative, and her enthusiasm for the movie industry was contagious. Despite the windy and rainy weather, we truly appreciated the comfort of the cart.
The tours highlights were remarkable, including walk-throughs of sound stages and visits to the sets of popular TV shows like Matlock, starring Kathy Bates as Madeline “Matty” Matlock, and The Rookie. We especially loved exploring the Prop Warehouse at the end of the tour, where we saw an array of fascinating props from iconic movies! This tour was indeed a memorable experience.
The Broad - Los Angeles Nancy Maxwell: The Broad is a wonderful experience for anyone who has even the smallest appreciation of art. The collection is well-curated and provides a diverse list of creators. Im always excited when a new artist exhibition is on display. I recently visited the Jeffrey Gibson exhibit and it did NOT disappoint. A bounty of color was displayed in the most beautiful pieces!
But I wanted to also address the staff for The Broad. Theyre truly one of the museums greatest assets. I had a chance to speak with two ladies during my wait for Kusamas Infinity Room and they were absolutely lovely. They were the epitome of friendly, professional, and sincerely passionate about their roles. I fully appreciate the opportunity to come across team members like this. They are a credit to this locale! If youre in the DTLA area, visit the website for possible tickets. Walk-ups are welcome, but their ticketing system makes every visit worry-free.
Los Angeles County Museum of Art - Los Angeles Arshi Naaz: Such a beautiful place and definitely worth visiting. I heard they have shot a couple of movies in this area as well. It is just by the road, so you don’t need to find it a lot, and it’s just so so pretty. You’ll get an amazing IG worth of photographs. You can visit any time, but I would suggest go somewhere. Post sunset to have the best lighting effects on your photos. It hardly takes like five or 10 minutes to go through this place as it’s just a bunch of antique lights/lamps by the roads. It really depends how many pictures you would like to click here, enjoy.
Griffith Park - Znar Barwary-Gorzlancyk: I absolutely love Griffith Park! It’s stunning both inside and out, providing a peaceful escape from the citys hustle and bustle. Whether I’m in the mood to relax or get active, there’s always something to do. The hiking trails are fantastic, with options for all skill levels. One of the highlights for me is the trail that leads to breathtaking views of the Hollywood Sign — such an iconic experience!
Super Silly Fun Land - Studio City Riddhi: One of the standout aspects of Super Silly Fun Land is its relaxed atmosphere. Unlike some of the more popular attractions in the park, this area doesn’t have overwhelming crowds, making it easier for parents to supervise their little ones and capture memorable photos without the hassle of long lines. It’s a refreshing spot to take a break from the busier sections of the park and let the kids enjoy age-appropriate activities.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Universal City Traveling With Welt: Very cute scenery for all Harry Potter fans. Unfortunately I wasnt able to get on the two rides due to my size (stomach lol) However the cast members were super sweet and decided to let me walk through the castle instead. I didnt but it was nice of them to offer.
Hollywood Sign - JOJO TV: Seeing the Hollywood Sign in person was an incredible moment! It’s one of those iconic landmarks that makes you feel like you’re truly in the heart of the entertainment world. The view from the trails was amazing, and it’s a perfect spot for photos and taking in the beauty of Los Angeles. A must-see if you’re visiting Hollywood!

Venice Boardwalk - Los Angeles Rebecca G: Venice Beach Boardwalk is such a fun place to explore! There’s so much to see—from unique street vendors and talented performers to the gorgeous beach views. It has such an energetic, artsy vibe that makes it a great spot for people-watching or just soaking it all in.
You can rent bikes or scooters and cruise along the bike lane that runs right next to the beach—it’s such a fun way to explore the area. Just a quick note: parking near the beach isn’t free. I paid about $18, so be prepared for that if you’re driving in.
