5 /5 Rebecca G: Venice Beach Boardwalk is such a fun place to explore! There’s so much to see—from unique street vendors and talented performers to the gorgeous beach views. It has such an energetic, artsy vibe that makes it a great spot for people-watching or just soaking it all in. You can rent bikes or scooters and cruise along the bike lane that runs right next to the beach—it’s such a fun way to explore the area. Just a quick note: parking near the beach isn’t free. I paid about $18, so be prepared for that if you’re driving in.

4 /5 Jason Adamson: Pretty cool place. Tons of touristy shops, clothing shops, and carnival type food. If you look hard enough, you can find a couple good restaurants. There are homeless people, but they kept to themselves. Many vendors, but not pushy. A couple times CD peddlers tried to push their music at me, but I ignored them. There are occasional restrooms, they didnt seem gross. The walking paths are nice, and there is boardwalk access to the beach.

4 /5 Debra Butler: If you dont get there early youll pay a big price to park. The walk is enjoyable. The skatepark area is awesome for roller skating and the skateboard area is fun to watch. I picked up a couple fleas in the sand so be sure to wash up after sitting on sandy areas.

4 /5 Simply Mama Ds: The vibe is unique with various food vendors and eclectic shops. Street vendors can be aggressive so be prepared to be haggled a hit. The scene is one-of-a-kind, free and worth the stop at least once.

5 /5 Karie Arem: This place is wild and we loved it! Would I take my small children there? No. It is great for adults to walk, people watch, eat, shop, watch the skate boarders, walk your dogs, look at the gorgeous beach, watch the street performers. I would not feel safe walking there alone as a woman- I definitely recommend going with at least one other person and don’t make eye contact with the vagrants. It didn’t happen to me but I heard several stories of them getting very upset if you don’t give them something and there are a lot of them at the boardwalk.
