1 /5 Beth Rush: We called this company around 6 pm to have our diesel RV diagnosed and possibly repaired after our check engine light came on and we were experiencing a loss of power.We called this company Calexico Mobile Truck Repair, apparently they are simply a dispatcher service who then contacts other company’s to do the actual work . We were billed by a company named Premier Break down solutions. ( which we were not aware of the company being just a broker /dispatcher at the time ) They offered us to come out that evening within 2 hours but since it was dark already we said No what time can you make it tomorrow. They stated first thing in the morning . We were in Glamis at that time and were fine with them coming out first thing in the morning . They charged us over the phone $1114.00 which was travel fees, minimum hourly rate and a dispatch fee. We paid it that evening . After sitting there all day they finally showed up around 3 in the afternoon. They sent 2 men who seemed nice but didn’t speak any English. They stated that the coolant was low and asked if we had any because they did not , luckily we did have coolant. They did put it in for us , not that we needed them to. They then had to call another man who spoke some English very broken and hard to understand English who told us that there was nothing else they could do and stated that it was a low pressure fuel problem . My husband then looked over it after speaking with our local mechanic in AZ and decided to change the 2 fuel filters. When doing this he discovered a vacuum line broken in half . By this time we already had the 2 new fuel filters and he also purchased supplies to repair the vacuum line . The vacuum line repair items cost my husband $2.83 !! When we sent pictures and spoke to our mechanic in AZ he couldn’t believe that they didn’t find the broken vacuum line , and stated there was no reason except incompetent mechanics and it should have never cost $1114.00 !! I wish I could give them negative stars!! I would advise not using either of these companies if you ever find yourself stranded in this area !! Total rip off !!
