WHAT HAPPENS HERE?
Braids, locs, weaves, natural hair, nonethnic hair---Maes can do it all. My go to is long knotless braids. Her salon stays clean and exudes warmth. A/C?...well...maybe...
WHAT KIND OF STAFF IS IT?
She hires highly qualified employees that understand braiding etc. is a craft. Her staff are professional and they get the job done in the most efficient time possible for the style you request.
SHOULD I WASH MY HAIR FIRST?
Because shes also a cosmetologist she is certified to do washing prior to braiding. However, that would be an additional fee. Rarely does someone have their hair washed before braiding AT the salon. But be respectful and wash your hair prior to getting your hair done. Okaaaay.
Yet, if youre getting locs retightening or natural hair braiding, washing may be considered typical. All stylists smile and speak. Most speak English.

Giana Street: LaSandra is awesome!!!! I went to her to get my natural hair washed/blowed out/flat ironed and she did a great job. LaSandra made my hair look like it was permed. You feel like royalty the moment you walk in. I was ecstatic to find someone who was professional and genuine. Thankfully she was able to fit me in for an emergency appointment. I advise making appointments in advance because her exceptional talent keeps her busy and in high demand. I have thick, coily, natural hair and typically warn beauticians it is not for the faint of heart. This did not phase her. She took her time gently washing and detangling my natural hair. My Havana twist were beautifully done.
