1 /5 A. Montez: What can I say about this place. 1st, I had to convince cardiologist Dr. Young, MD to give my mother a referral to discuss heart surgery options. The nurse I spoke with to try and push for the referral, informed me she was talking to me on her lunch, as if she were doing me a favor. Mom shows up to the appointment with the specialist and was informed she needed to have heart surgery in two weeks because it was severe. My mom went in for heart surgery on 11/1 and her follow up appointment with Dr. Young was not supposed to be until 11/15.
Next story: Dr. Botto did not order follow up X-rays for my father who had a hip replacement back in 2001. (This is in 2021 BTW). They sent my father to a PT. PT did not work. Finally was given a referral to a hip doctor. My father had a severe infection in his hip and had to have 1 procedure to just clean out the infection. Now, because of heart surgery, my father cannot get the second procedure done on his hip. My father is in chronic pain. (Dr. Young was also my father’s cardiologist and my father had a serious complication during the hip surgery. Cardiologist at University of Washington stated that my father probably had the complication during his hip surgery because his heart condition was not being treated).
Basically….don’t go to any of the specialists here. Get a referral to Renown. Get a referral to Sacramento Uc Davis clinics. Barton permanently harmed my father and almost killed my mom. I wouldn’t send my dog here.
