5 /5 Jorge Mendez: Edit 2024. I’ve been at of this church for almost 8 years now and I’m still in love with it. I’ve developed amazing friendships and I’ve always felt loved and cared for. This church feels like family. There’s always something to be a part of, so it’s fun year round. There’s no drama, no one tries to control you or run your life, it’s just a bunch of real people trying to live a better life and to give their kids a better future. The focus is Jesus and I have always felt empowered to grow a relationship with Him. They teach the bible, EVERY PART OF IT(the popular fluffy parts and the parts that rub people the wrong way). There’s a different live speaker every day. I’m so thankful for this place. **original review from 6 years ago*** Amazing church to belong to. People are warm and sincere, the messages are always fresh with the right balance of funny and challenging all done with an attitude of excellence. God is #1 in this place. Mens prayer on Thursday mornings has made a huge difference in my life. Its comforting to know that there are a group of men that will stand and pray with you when you need it. Kids church is amazing as well.

4 /5 Sophia Allen: The pastors they are constantly talking about vacations they take riding sailboats. Please instead of spending so much time on expensive sailboats you need to be on your face weeping in tears of anguish repenting for your lacksadaisacal attitude towards the faith. I mean the church is great if you can look past the lukewarmness and Worldly spirits of the leadership. They are extremely helpful with the children and have a great Children’s program they didn’t shut down during the virus which was unique and took a lot of courage and I believe they are more outspoken about @bor+ion from what I remember bless their hearts they’re doing a lot right but I’m sorry if the pastor just got over a pornography addiction 5 years ago and spends his free time and church money sailing all over the bay I mean you got to do better than that. Like the pastor at nearby Eastlake church that is the gold standard man of God he doesn’t even drive a new car he so humble and holy and has been righteous his whole life that man has me undone but when i come to awaken and a they spend half the service begging for money then talk about how they ride sailboats and go on vacation cmon guys you can do better than that.

The older I got the more I broke out my shell and throughout my life I have faced battles that at a young age and being grown now are battles I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy. Battles that made me feel like I was at war with myself, the devil himself, making me feel as though there was no purpose for me anymore. Yet there was one place that reminded me of who I am and has been a home for me where I can be a better me; NCT. My Pastors always are there to be a personal ear for me to hear me out and give me Godly advice and allowing me to believe that who I am is not justified by my past or by my trauma, but justified by the Faith I carry with God. This place saved me from the darkest places; saved me from walking away from life itself. How? They reminded me that I am loved, I am known, and that the Kingdom needs me just as much. I have a family here and I wouldn’t want to find any other new family. I love my home and this church will always be a home to a new heart that walks through those doors.
