05-2025 Atrevida Beauty Salon in The Best 18 Hair Salons in Hayward, CA (part 2) Victorias Salon - Hayward Syd B: I was a faithful customer for a couple years and I felt Laura did an overall good job in the first year. There were only a couple times when my hair did look flat or not the pic I shared with her but for the most part she was pleasant until the last three times I had appointments. I finally decided I cannot go back especially when she at times switches the times of appointment or doesn’t return phone calls. What I didn’t appreciate the most was the fact that although I always booked with her particularly, she didn’t communicate that an inexperienced apprentice would do my hair instead of her while I paid the full price for an experienced professional (her) just so she could save time and profit more. Not acceptable. No communication. No courtesy. So the apprentice cut too much and didn’t speak or understand English. Not helpful. This is unprofessional. If I wanted a novice i would go to Supercuts and pay a third. Laura didn’t seem to understand why I preferred her. It’s not rocket science. Getting a haircut for me is a luxury. I only do it every 3-4 months. I don’t want someone botching it up. It’s so silly to do the aforementioned. Unprofessional. I thought Laura was different but she’s not. I prefer someone who actually is conscientious and someone of their word. A customer should be appreciated and treated well. That’s how u succeed. Money isn’t everything.
Luz Hair Salon - Hayward Cynthia Ramirez: They burned my hair I asked for highlights they gave me something else and my hair was red I didn’t ask for my hair to be red my head was burnt they cut my hair so short it took me 3 years to let my hair grow I do not recommend this place it was the worst experience
M C Style - Hayward Rosanna Yee: I cant speak highly enough about the stylist, Julie! My partner has been using Julies services for years and shes always excellent. Julie is extremely friendly, skillful, and professional. We highly recommend her!
Definitely call ahead to ensure she can take you.
Gladys Hair Salon - Hayward Ari: I came in to get my hair colored a light brunette and an extra fee to straighten my hair. After drying my hair, I noticed it was 3 different shades. Horrible work. (The woman doing my hair was also coloring her own hair in the salon at the same time. I had to continuously remind her when it was time to wash my hair out. Very unprofessional). I agreed to come back the following week for a color correction. I was told to wash my hair as soon as I got home and to wash several times before coming back. I come the next week and had to get a dark brunette, almost black to cover the 3 colors. She wanted me to pay again for a straightening service after asking me to wash my hair out the week prior. I refused to pay for a service I already paid for and she rudely tried to kick me out.
Aldinas Hair Salon - Hayward Reynaldo Nunez: Been going here for 30 years, the staff is suoer attentive, and my own child loves the care here. Would recommend 100/10 and has many options besides just hair cutting. Layering, shampoo and conditioner care, consulting. Its too good to pass up for its price.
Salon V - Hayward Joan Falleiro: Review is for fixing my nail only. I called many places and was told they are all busy. The person I spoke to could fit me in right a way to fix one broken, natural nail that was tearing halfway down. Unfortunately, this happens to me often because that one nail is thin. I’ve been to many places and they use the glue, the salt, tape, and the dip. The person that did my nail made the dip look very natural. It doesn’t look like the cleanest of places, but she did a great job.
MIVA SALON - Hayward Jinnie Tam: My experience with the service and staff is exceptionally great. I appreciate how knowledgeable Minnie is and trust that she knows what is good for my hair and how to get the best results whether its balayage, baby highlights, or full color change, etc. She is beyond talented and highly skilled. I have always been pleased with the Kerastase products that she carries in the salon and enjoy the benefits that come with using their line especially since they cater to colored hair treatment. I noticed that the color stays true and rarely fades before my next appointment. The tools that she uses are top of the line (e.g. custom scissors and Dyson hair accessories). She is busy so I make sure to book my next appointment with her at check out. The interior is kept clean and organized. The location has plenty of parking nearby.
Hair Philosophy - Hayward Kaye: Sabrina is amazing, I am so glad I was referred to her. Excited with my new hair cut and color. I can hardly wait to experience more of her talent. She is a warm, caring person who invites you into her world of experience of transformations through beauty. I feel honored to say she is my hair stylist.
Hayward African hair braiding - Hayward Wash Just Wash: The good news has spread to Hayward and I highly recommend Sofia at Hayward African Hair Braiding. I have been visiting her other salon location for years and have always been pleased with the outcome of my hair, I can be very picky about how I wish my hair to be styled and Sofia listens AND delivers. She is professional, pleasant and accommodating.
BONUS POINTS - when my partner actually notices my hair and he asks if I’ve just had it done! Call Sofia - I think you’ll be happy that you did! WJW
