5 /5 Julee Konshoj: After moving to Gold Country this past Fall, this was my first visit to Adventist Health Sonora. All in all, I was pleased with the care I received in the ER. It was an unusually busy evening (according to the nurses) so I waited for quite a while before being seen since my condition wasnt as acute as others. However, I was suffering from sever Sciatica and was in quite a bit of pain. With the long wait, it was miserable. It would have been helpful if they could have given me a pain med. just to help take the edge off while I was waiting. Eventually I was treated. They took a couple of X-rays just to be safe since this was my first episode with the condition. The staff in the ER were wonderful. Very professional yet easy going, friendly and really did a great job to make me feel better. I greatly appreciated their diligence and care in checking my wristband before they took any labs or treatment, making sure they were treating the right person with the right procedure. The ER Doc carefully listened to my explanations and was fairly quick at setting out a plan to not only give me immediate relief but to help alleviate the problem over the next few days. The hospital, equipment and rooms were all clean and well maintained. Adventist Health Sonora will be our go to hospital and I look forward to finding a Primary Care Physician within their network.
