I found his shop through Google while searching for a trustworthy and knowledgeable mechanic—especially after my regular mechanic couldn’t diagnose the issue with my car after working on it for several days. John not only found the problem quickly, but he also went above and beyond by opening the engine and carefully working through the issue. What impressed me most was that he took care of additional work while he was at it—especially impressive since engine work requires such precision—and he didn’t even charge me extra for the labor. His honesty, skills, and attention to detail truly stood out. John is also incredibly friendly and professional. His prices are very reasonable, and you can tell he has a real passion for what he does. Drake Piscione I rarely leave reviews, but I had to after working with them to replace my clutch. Everyone there was genuinely kind and easy to talk to—just good people all around. They replaced my clutch in seven hours when the website said it could take up to ten! On top of that, they were completely transparent about pricing and even gave me a discount (because it took them less time) 100% would recommend, and I’ll definitely be coming back the next time my car decides to fall apart. Thanks again, guys!

Snow White If you are planning go to this place, be very careful, these people are nasty, I speak from my experience. I took my car because i think i have a problem, but my car was fine and they disconnected a coil to make several repairs, so I did not want to work with them because they are abusive, they damage private property and they are fraudulent from my experience, I do not recommend I went to back with my family mechanic who I have been for many years, and he told me that they had done this evil to me by disconnecting the coil My mechanic counted the coil my car was ready in 5 minutes, when these bastards want to charge me $500 dollars for a mechanical problem that my car didnt dont have and they made it up to Stilling my money! as if i were a new driving oh was my first car

Phil M DO NOT GO HERE! I was scammed by this business. I brought my car in after getting a bunch of lights on my dash. I was told a need a new ABS module by the employee David, and it would cost around $900 and they would install a used one. And I would have my car back within the week. Fast forward to probably two weeks later I was told that the used one wasn’t going to work that I had to get a new one and it would cost around $2000. I agreed because I just wanted to get my car back as soon as possible. This is when the absolute nightmare started. A week went by and I decided to call, it was impossible to get a hold of them and when I did I was given an excuse or I was given the run around and told by David that he would get back to me (he never would). This went on for about 4 months until I was tired of them having my car and lying to me and my patience wore out. I went to the shop because they would never answer my phone number, and I requested just to get my car back and to get a refund of the $900 I already paid. I was told by David some lie that he was unable to do refunds on the system and he needed his boss to do it and to come back next Saturday. I was frustrated but I agreed. When I came the next Saturday at the time I was told to David told me the boss was not there and I had to wait until he arrived. I waited for about two hours and the they started to close up the shop, David came up to me and told me his boss could not come today and I would have to come back next Saturday. This is already the worst experience I have ever had with any business in my life and I just want it to be over so I agreed again. On the next Saturday I get there David and his boss are in the office together and tell me they’ll refund me $300 dollars and they’ll keep $600. I’m not happy they’ve had my car for over 4 months at this point and they’re giving it back to me in the same or even worse shape than it was before because I don’t know what they did to it and they want me to pay $600 dollars for it. I said this was not acceptable to me and if I had to pay $600 why don’t they just fix it. After arguing forever about it we agreed that they would just fix it. Finally on August 1 I was informed it was done, but it had to be towed to a dealership and they had to program it themselves. All in all what I was initially told would cost $900 and take a couple days, ended up costing well over $2000 and worsts all took 5 months. If you know what’s best for you go anywhere else. Do not do business with them.

Mario Rivas Scam artist…. I took a car to David to install a motor and a clutch kit, I provided the parts, when the repair was done he said the car didn’t start and needed a computer , I towed the car to the dealer and they said they didn’t set some timing parts correctly and that’s why it didn’t start, I told David and got in contact with the owner and they agreed to reimburse me some $$ then played the back n forth game and he didn’t want to comply, I then realized he was operating with a expired auto repair license and he shouldn’t. Be operating regardless , the BAR got involved and could only recommend small court claims, what a waste of time

Salvador Mota I took my van to this place on March od 2024 to change my radiator. They installed a new one with a 1 year warranty. My radiator gave out in 3 months. They didnt honor their warranty. If I could give this place a 0 star, I would. I encourage anyone to take their vehicles for repairs elsewhere.

Heather Freed I just moved to Highland Park a couple months ago and was so daunted by finding a new mechanic. I came here because it’s walking distance to my place but wow, I’m so relieved. I got my power steering done which I’m not so sure about the average pricing, but I asked about fixing my AC compressor and it ended up being a bit cheaper then my old, long time mechanic quoted me. The owner is so nice and I’m so grateful to have found a good place. I highly recommend

Consequently, I scheduled an appointment earlier in the week for the replacement of my vehicles rotors & brake pads. Unaware of the weather forecast at the time of booking, I was surprised to wake up to heavy rainfall on the day of my appointment. Despite the inclement weather, Mauricio and his team were ready & waiting for my arrival at 7 am! Their service was outstanding, and the cost was unbeatable!

Walter Hernandez Stay away from this place. I took my car from transmission job. It took them a month to get my car back. 3 times I pick up my car and I had to tow the car back to them each time.Transmission was never the same. Months after the transmission broke again. Took it back to them and they told me that the problem was the computer in the transmission and they don’t do that work. I paid almost $4,000 for a horrible job and waste of time time. Oil change or something simple it’s fine but big jobs forge it. Stay away

I brought my car in, and after a brief joyride, the mechanic confidently declared that both my sway bar links and bushings needed replacing – a mere $1100 for the honor. That’s $550 per side, for those keeping track. What’s truly impressive is that they managed this feat without even bothering to lift the car and check. Why use those fancy car lifters when you can just wing it, right? Naturally, I was skeptical and sought a second opinion. Turns out, the actual problem was the lower control arm – you know, the part with the ball joint, something you’d expect a competent mechanic to check. The repair cost at the other place? Just $600, or $300 per side.

Josh L Gave them a call when I needed a battery replaced on a Sunday morning for my lovely cargo van that enjoys staying at home in its parking lot most days. Well, except for Monday, Monday he needed to go to work. Thankfully Alan was reasonably priced, quoted the project quickly, stopped picked up a battery and replaced the battery with a new more efficient battery in about 10 minutes. Very happy with him being quick, concise, and an expert car guy.

I walked over to her shop because my car wasnt starting and she stopped what she was doing to help me troubleshoot based on the issues I was having. She slotted me in for an appointment right away and within just a couple hours, I was out of the there with all the maintenance I needed. She was very informative, helpful, and respectful during the whole experience- Ill be back and will be referring my friends to Montri!

Dumont Darsey Charged me $140 for an oil change. Last year they charged me $85. I just called the dealership and they would only charge me $90. Mike explained the 70% increase from last year because "the cost of oil went up."

Fresh Ent. Cris is good very knowledgeable as a mechanic. He will not mess around he will tell you how it is and will answer all questions or concerns that you might have. Bringing my vehicle to him was hesitant but as he has experience with german engineering you can trust him as he knows what he is doing! The convenience that he will get the parts for you is a plus!! I recommend.

Owner denied it, did not provide insurance. I had to call cops to get insurance, it took 4 hours. I won settlement.

anna andreeva The mechanics are absolutely incompetent. They said they would fix the car, but in the end, they couldn’t do anything. They did a bunch of pointless things that I had already done myself two hours earlier. They called their own tow truck, I paid money to get to their shop, and ended up wasting a huge amount of time for absolutely nothing. My car broke down at 11 AM, and I contacted them right away. It’s now 3 PM, and the mechanic just tells me, “I don’t know what’s wrong with it.” I even suggested possible causes of the issue, and he just shrugged his shoulders and ignored me — complete indifference. These mechanics have no idea how to fix the problem they agreed to work on. They laugh and act like they couldn’t care less about you. If you can’t help us, why waste our time? Just say, “No, I can’t,” and I’ll find another shop instead of sitting here for hours for nothing. To the so-called “mechanics” at this shop — don’t waste other people’s time if you don’t care about your own. I’ll never come back here, and I strongly recommend others stay away too

Pinurba Anandita Hey this is the owner of Blue Chevy Cruze that several times come to your auto. I want to say thank you to you and Walter especially, for your help to fix 5 error codes when first time scanned used OBD scanner. After 3 times fixed those problems gradually (because I had no money to solve at once), couple days ago I finally could clear the codes and passed the smog check. I had checked other auto to found out cheaper and better experience than yours but eventually I came back. Overall, I saw the price is lower than average and the patience to listen and ability to analyze are awesome. Hopefully your business becomes more success and uphold honesty as always.

Lord Pinicus I had my tires delivered there to be installed. I was got called shortly after they opened & this was during the really bad storm & I went there they had us under A tarp & put my tires on fast & didnt try to sell me on any services! Amazing customer service & the owner even called to check that everything was ok!
