Erich Matt Let me put it this way, if they cant figure it out youre going to be in for trouble. They always look out for you and try to get you the best prices on parts that are needed. No run around, straight forward and honest. Shop techs are wizards, reception is very friendly. They can fix it, smog, and generalge get it done. They figured out my wifes AC when the techs at the dealership couldnt. Theyve helped me out immensely on more then 1 occasion when I couldnt resolve the problem. Theres a reason why they are rated so high, because they are good.

Its hard to use trusting and mechanic in the same sentence sometimes but I trust this place and their automotive technicians with my car from now on. Chris and his crew helped me get an engine swap and its running like new again. It was a process finding someone in town to do this tedious work but they facilitated my cars needs and well so thank you again guys!

Ashton VanZant The guys at Precision Automotive are top notch! Our Ford Econoline had a catastrophic wheel failure about an hour north of Bakersfield in the middle of the night. Had it towed into town and dropped off at Precision Automotive based off their reviews and AAA partnership. When they opened up they got the van in first thing and got to work. We quickly realized that the front spindle was going to need replaced, after a tough time sourcing one we worked together and I grabbed a used one from a junkyard. Once I dropped the part off gave them a couple of hours and the van was ready and back on the road! While these guys specialize in import vehicles they were top notch in fitting my van in, getting it fixed quickly and well, and all at a very reasonable price! While I don’t live in Bakersfield I will definitely add their info to my contacts incase I need work done again! Thanks again guys!

Isabel Trujillo My husband and I have come to him for our vehicles for a quite few years now. Hes always honest and even made us aware of a lemon we had. We go to this guy for everything and trust his recommendations for things he cant do. Hes always the most affordable and gets the job done asap. Which we really appreciated, especially this last vist, because we actually live in our short bus. (Yes, 1994 Chevy/4window short bus) Again, we go to him for everything!

Katelyn Quezada I was in a rush I was coming from Washington State to drive all the way to Houston Texas and ended up breaking down in Bakersfield California I googled the cheapest mechanic near me and it was Amaya, when I got there I had already talked to Salvador over the phone and explained to him my situation he was very understanding and very considerate he ended up checking my water pump and telling me that was not my problem My problem was my radiator and he had the most affordable price out of all the other places that I called and the best customer service, he helped with my radiator and put air in my tires and breaker fluid If youre in an emergency situation and you need help with your car and are on a low budget I would give Salvador

Estrella Armas I’ve been coming here for years and the staff and service used to be amazing! This most recent visit I came in for a basic oil change. I’m familiar with everyone who works here, but on this most recent visit the newer lady working at the counter was so mean and condescending. I did not get her name, but she is a larger set woman with brunette/black hair. Every time I would talk to Chris’ wife or the mechanic regarding my vehicle the brunette lady would act as if I was “holding up her line” (I was the only person there) and was incredibly rude with her tone when asked any sort of question. Please find someone with better customer service skills.

Kristi Langhardt I was traveling and ended up stuck in Bakersfield overnight with a nail in my tire. Nation Auto Repair was great about taking care of my tire quickly and had me back on the road. They were so nice and professional and I wish I lived nearby to have them take care of all my auto needs. Highly recommend!

phillips famtv Javier is great. Number one reason to come here is honesty. Number two reason is his prices on labor and parts are the best in Bakersfield. He worked on my Audi A8 but has also done work on my sisters Acura TL and my best friends Chevy Truck. Javier are small but mighty. They got the parts and finished my air bag suspension in less than a day and it was a 1/3 of what the dealer wanted.

Jesse Serna This place use to be a 5 star place, but not anymore. Took my car for a A/C charge and a leak check two weeks ago according to their worker no leaks. All of a sudden after air conditioning begins to blow hot air from driver side, passenger side super cold. A cause if not enough freon was put into system, so I took it in again, i was told that the compressor was leaking. Long story short they remove my freon completely. Now no A/C for passengers, Now I am worse than before. I dont know what type of scam their running there, all i know is they lied and took my remainig freon, which I was told I had none. I am taking my vehicle somewhere else to see if really my compressor is the issue. do not recommend this place at all. Beware!

Kirsten Thomas i’d give it 0 stars if i could. they charge you 150 per hour just for even being there. took my car to get my ac looked at, claimed there was no leaks, and my ac was fine. not even 2 weeks later my ac is blowing hot air again. Don’t waste your time

Tim Palmquist The belt tensioner broke on my F-150, and I needed the repair done that day to get to work the next morning. I got the truck to them by 11 am, after I had verified with them in a phone call that they could fix it that day. I called about 3 pm and they still hadn’t fixed it, because they said they didn’t have the parts. I had already researched the parts and knew where I could immediately pick them up, so I asked if they could get it done if I brought them the parts, but in the midst of the conversation they said the parts arrived. They insisted on replacing the belt, claiming that it was torn, but I insisted on keeping the old belt. It looks perfect (much better than the belt they installed, which looked worn from the start). When I showed the old belt to the mechanic he admitted that he couldn’t see anything wrong with it. They did finish the repair that same day, just before closing time. But they did more than what I approved and charged me much more for the parts than I could have paid. In comparison, the identical problem happened two years ago when we were traveling through Georgia. Thankfully that time the shop got us back on the road in an hour and charged us $150 (less than half what I paid this time). I’m still dealing with the aftermath of this repair, as some new issues might be related. I knew it didn’t sound right the moment I drove away but I really didn’t want to deal with them anymore, and I figured they wouldn’t want to deal with me either, as it had seemed that I was imposing on them to try to get them to get it done that day.

Igor Kovacevic On the road from LA to San Jose we got engine issues and made it to Benny’s shop. Benny, his daughter and his stuff diagnosed the problem, got the parts and fixed the issue. Very accommodating and efficient. Absolute recommendation!

Sarah O. Im on a road trip from out of state and my engine gave out 20 miles from Bakersfield. These guys not only found me a used engine but were also kind enough to let me sleep in their parking lot while the repair was being done. That was a huge help to not have to spend money on a hotel. They were also very clear about what needed to be repaired and why.

Mitchel Davis Not one to take my car to a shop but now that I’m disabled I don’t have a choice, ac quit working took it in and figured it was going to be a pricey job. Turns out it was a $2 fuse, they checked my fluids and made sure everything was good before leaving. Most places would’ve said it was some big job and got their money because they know I can’t crawl around and inspect but this place is honest and respectable.

Miguel Robledo Would not recommend this place. They change my radiator but Broke my A/c and wouldn’t take responsibility for it. If you ever come to this place make sure you show them everything is working right in your car before they even touch it . Now I have to find some other place to fix my A/c..

Marion Boissières A huge thank you to Jorge and his team. We arrived in the morning with the check engine light on in our Ford E250, along with a wrong diagnosis from another garage. They did everything they could to fix the problem as quickly as possible, even prioritizing our vehicle. Jorge took the time to explain everything to us, and they even went out of their way to pick up the replacement part. And all of this for half the price of a previous quote. We were able to hit the road again the same day. Another massive thank you to all of you !

Edward Garcia I first met Johnathan from Offer-Up when I bought some wheels from him for my 2003 Jetta. There were some issues with the sizing but he went out of his way to find some wheels that fit securely on my car. He came off as a very honest guy so when that car needed some major repairs I brought it to him and Jesse. They did a PHENOMENAL job at diagnosing the issue and fixing it well and quickly. My car hasnt run this smooth since I got it! They also dont cut corners. Their goal is to keep you from having to come back, so they do not compromise on the jobs they do. They only recommended things I needed and really helped me understand what was going on with my car. If youre looking for an honest shop that does quality work at a competitive price, look no further. If anyone asks me to point them in the direction of a mechanic, Im sending them to Johnathan and Jesse at Js Mobile Auto Repair!

Jennifer Banuelos Gerald and his family were amazing! We were 12 hrs into our drive till my suv started to act up. It was past buisness hours I started to freak out. My husband called Gerald and he said to bring it. We had to call a tow truck and dropped it off at his house which he has a a garage to work on these vehicles. We had to leave our car due to it being transmission problems we had to rent a car to make it down to a wedding. Gerald kept in contact we had to get a new transmission and it was affordable. He even called us to make sure we got back home without any problems. So if you brake down in Bakersfield dont freak out because Geralds there! Update: Its been 5 years and my transmission is still running strong!

David Slagle I had an improperly installed strut completely fail on the freeway nearby. Managed to get the rv to his shop in the middle of the night and slept right outside in the rv all night until the shop opened. He welcomed me in and immediately started to diagnose the issue and familiarize himself with my completely custom system. Not many mechanics even work with custom air ride systems, not to mention have the knowledge and skills to happily dive right in. Service with a smile, even under very unique circumstances… It’s clear and obvious that solving problems and getting to help anyone who could use honest trustworthy mechanical help genuinely makes this man happy. I didn’t think I’d be going anywhere anytime soon, yet I was able to drive away (to an alignment shop) 3 hours later with my struts and front air ride system functioning. He will go very far out of his way to help ANYONE fix ANY vehicle issue, and wont try to over charge you for his services! Hes a rare breed, a true diamond in the rough. Id recommend this gentleman to anyone in need of vehicle services in the Bakersfield area. Thanks again!!

Hp P I don’t write reviews often but needed to note my highest recommendation for Joe and his crew. Fair, honest, and of high integrity. We were stuck with a flashing engine light on our way home to Souther CA from Yosemite and were lucky to get stuck near his shop. He was honest and provided a simple solution for which I think other shops may have easily taken advantage of us in our situation.

John Lingenberg my car died on the 99 freeway( from out of town), called them and explained what happened and they helped me out , even worked threw lunch . Joe is great and the technicians are very good old school shop , wish they were in my town.

Wen Tseng Quality Repair and Fair! Recently my daughter and her friend were on a road trip on I-5 when one of the tires blew at 70mph, breaking the fuel filter and vent tubes in the process. They were stuck in Bakersfield on a late Sunday afternoon, looking for any auto repair shop that was still open. Thankfully they found Jeremys Auto Repair. He diagnosed the problem right away, and explained the options. When it became clear parts would not be available for a few days, he came up with a good fix to make sure they can continue the journey, and charged a reasonable price. Thank God for honest mechanics like Jeremy. Highly recommend him. I would take all of our cars to him for repair if we live nearby.
