Vent A. I was calling around to several shops to see how much they will charge for a spark plug replacement. I was talking to Charlie. He was very forthcoming with breaking down the cost of the parts and labor. My initial assesment is that this shop doesnt seem to try to rob me. The labor is reasonable. They are going to charge me $100 for labor. Extremely fair price! And I told them I am bringing my part, they are aggreable and reasonable about it. I made an appointment. We shall see if they do a good job. I will make additional updated reviews pending the result of the labor. Stay tuned. Update: While I sit in the waiting area, Charlie called me in the work area to show me exactly what he was doing and what he inspected. He basically had all the parts organized on the side and he showed me the things he was inspecting and what his professional opinion on how to best maintain my car engine. He did not by any means was trying to sell me crap that I didnt need. We had about a few minute conversation on proper maintainance on my car. What I can tell you about this man, he is honest. He was not talking to me as if I am some dim witted female. He was talking to me as if I was his friend and just plainly explained his assesment. So, for those of you ladies who have had that experience with your local repair shop or car dealer mechanics where they were trying to talk you into hundreds of dollars in repair and maintance work, you wont get that sort of slithery manipulation with Charlie. I dont know him. This is the first time I have been in this auto repair shop. He doesnt sell you bull. He is pleasant and patient with his explanation. He is informative and would teach you a few things about your engine if you asked. Skip all the other places. Dont waste your time shopping around. Make and appointment and have him look in your engine if you really have no clue what needs to be done. But you can also try to act witless just to test if he is as honest as I have pleasantly discovered. I am not an expert mechanic. But I am not an idiot either. I have spent a lot of time with my uncle and my dad in the garage when they were alive and were the ones maintaining our family vehicles. I have some base line knowlege of how an engine works. It is safe to assume that I have been in garages where I have discovered when the mechanics are pumping bs just to sell me more stuff than what I need because they assumed I am some stupid female who has no clue how an engine works. My pet peeve. More updates: I just saw Charlie wiping down the top of my engine and he also used an air compressor to remove the debris and dust off my engine. Only my dad and uncle has ever done that. No other mechanic does that from my experience. This person takes pride in his workmanship. I am a really hard critic and not easily manipulated and swayed. So, if i am giving you more insight as to the type of service this place offers, it means it is top notch.

Alex Greisen The team at Prum’s was extremely helpful in diagnosing and repairing my car issues. They treated me with respect and Sathya was very communicative about the repair process. Fair prices and honest work, I will be returning for future maintenance.

Nakeisha Jones Prum’s Auto Repair is the shop to bring your car in for servicing. The whole team are very very professional with everything they do there. Very honest man who knows what he is doing and will get the job done correctly. He will diagnose you car and tell you all repairs that needs attention. His labor is very reasonable and if possible will have you back in your car as soon as he can. I live in Los Angeles and this shop is my only choice. He has serviced my Chevy Tahoe my mother dodge journey and my sister chevy malibu. Thank you Prum’s auto repair for all that you do! You guys are the best hands down!

Hazel Samia Ask for CJ! hes great mechanic! I own a 97 Chevy Astro Van and I couldnt open the hatch and had electrical issues. He immediately helped me and knew exactly what to do in timely manner. Very satisfied with the service

ETAJOURNEY I am very pleased with the work CJ performed on my car last week. I took it to him a mess, I needed 6 fuel injectors, 6 spark plugs and a intake gasket. He called me before the end of the day to pick it up. I couldn’t believe it was already done, now it’s running strong and efficient. He’s professional, honest and swift with his work. This Mechanic and Veteran is highly recommended.

Larissa Trochez Luna I had an incredible experience at Orozco’s Auto Service! After taking my car to several shops to fix the climate control system but none of them were able to properly diagnose or fix the issue. Orozco’s was finally able to resolve the issue immediately. They kept me informed throughout the entire service process by sending real-time updates via a link through text message, which clearly displayed the services being performed and the findings on my vehicle. Their shuttle service made everything even easier, and the entire team was extremely kind and professional. Special shoutout to Randy and Alejandra—both were absolutely amazing! Zack McDohl Edward was a true lifesaver and helped me with my busted tail light, even when other mechanics said it couldnt be done. Mamun Rashid Fast service. Full empathy for customer need. Affordable solution We were from out of town and had a flat tire. We were in a hurry because we had pick up our kid from CSuLB in 2 hours. Tom personally checked us in. Made sure we were taken care of fast. Also provided us with an affordable solution. We will forever be grateful! Also, staff were very effective and polite.

Carlie Ferree I have been coming to Toms Automotive for routine oil changes since 2023. Originally I found this shop as I discovered a flat on my truck due to a nail. I had work that morning and had to throw on the spare for the moment. After work that day I stopped in to get it fixed and they took me right away with a quick patch fix. I havent had any issues with that tire since. Fast forward a month, I returned to get an oil change following that experience. The cost is a bit more than your quick minute oil change but what sets them apart is the time and attention they give to your vehicle. Not only am I getting a reliable oil change every time, they are also doing a full inspection of my vehicle at dealers recommendation based on my trucks mileage. I have been in 4 times for oil changes and will continue to return. The team is efficient and always take care of me while I am there.

Stephanie Arriaga Im not sure if this old man doesnt like latinos or scams women. I took my 2010 vw here 2xs he took a lot of $$$ from me and never fixed it. I went back to tell him why he didnt notice all the broken holes and leaking parts he simply just shrugged his shoulders. Dont go here

Prime Fiyah Deals Let me start off by saying I’m not 100% knowledgeable about cars but everywhere I called was appalled that he did a brake job and didn’t tell me anything about replacing my rotors. I paid $240 total for the front and the back brakes. My car is still shaking every time I brake. I called KC to explain to him the problem he told me that I had to pay an additional $60-$70 each side to fix my rotors but then when I went to him in person so I could possibly get the job today he switched up on me and said it’s going to cost me $75-$80 per side. Come to find out I didn’t even need a brake replacement I actually needed new rotors. If he’s so knowledgeable and has decades of experience, why didn’t he explain to me I need to also replace my rotors instead of telling me I need to break my brakes in by driving over 100 miles? Then told me that my rotors were fine when they were warped. I will NEVER comeback this man is a liar and a thief How are your prices fair when your charging me more than the dealership

abe Andrus The staff and the owner Todd were nice and very knowledgeable. They were able to diagnose and fix my car even though several other places couldnt. Im impressed. Great auto shop and they also fix boats

Tanner Flanigan Had car trouble driving from LA to San Diego so pulled over and found Gretchens. They had me in and out with the issue fixed in 25 minutes. Staff was very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Lucia Pulido This is a great auto shop! I have been going to Cesar the mechanic for many years. He is always very friendly and welcoming. He doesnt try to make you pay for unnecessary things, only what is truly needed. When you find a great place like this you wont go looking anywhere else. I highly recommend Docs Auto Repair!

Ken Prince What an amazing shop! Have taken my 997.2 Porsche 911 here for a short shifter install and my 2020 Audi A6 Allroad for a performance sway bar upgrade. The folks here give a fair and honest quote with no gotchas and both repairs were performed with no issues.

Debra Greco We live right near this repair shop. From the reviews we decided to go for our service on our Mercedes instead of the dealer. BIG BIG MISTAKE! They are under New Ownership(which I did not know until I was there) I was told they valued my business and wanted to provide an excellent customer experience so we would continue to come there for our service and that they wanted to be competitive with the dealership. We are awaiting a credit for “diagnostic evaluation” which they could not provide after 2k worth of work was supposedly needed. We were told we needed 2 new batteries for the computer to diagnose our “AC” problem (we also wanted a basic service of oil, filters., etc) They replaced the batteries to supposedly provide diagnostics, they did the “service” and still could not diagnose why the AC wasn’t going on(ugh) This was done for an overinflated charge of $2000- charging us $275 for a diagnosis which they could not do- after replacing batteries which they said would allow them to do this diagnostics. The owner said they would credit the diagnostic fee $275( our credit card has not received this and we are going to have to put a stop payment on our card) Besides this, we then had to take our car to the Mercedes dealership in LB. I must say, they assessed and repaired the problem in less than 2 days( a compressor) and it was still under the extended warranty so No Charge. I will NEVER go back to European Car on Broadway. The “owner/manager” gave my husband a hassel when he went in to come to a reasonable solution- the owner made a million excuses and didn’t follow thru on the “diagnostic credit”. They are not providing the “service” they profess to wanting to provide. Go to the Mercedes Dealer- plus they generally have a loaner and can ALWAYS diagnose without excuses

Luis Garcia Waste of time, mechanic does not like to work on your vehicle if job seems to take longer then he expects it to be or something else that’s not part of job looks dirty. Be warn unless your car looks newer or simply doesn’t give added time he might reject to service you smh. Been here a couple times and I just thought it was only fluke it happened the other times. SMH

Evy Ruiz Mark was very courteous and polite. I Dropped my car off for brake service. He called me within an hour with a diagnostic and price which I accepted and also asked for oil change. My car was ready within 3 hours. Price was reasonable (compared to dealer’s service). Definitely recommend and will be back for future repairs. Btw, he specializes in BMW’s but services domestic and foreign too.

Jovana Acevedo Coming into Orozcos Auto Service was a blessing. Not in my 17 years of getting car repair services have I ran into something like this. They popped up on my YouTube feed and I really like the dedication and information they put in their videos, which made me come into their shop. I walked in, and it was quick, attentive service that went straight to the point. After filling out my information on a phone I was given a ride home so I didnt have to wait. The driver and I had a nice little chat on our way and everything about this experience made me confident that my car was in good hands. They even pick you up when your car is ready. While on the ride I received a text message of a report of things that were going to get done so I could approve them. As a woman who was holding off taking my car to get the repairs it needed for quite some time, I was relieved when they offered an interest free financing option to help with what I couldnt cover. Which was a huge help because keeping the car in good standing is a great investment. It was quick and easy, once they sent me the link to apply for how much I would get approved for it was such a delight doing everything over the phone. So dont hesitate to bring your car in because being safe on the road is a major priority and thats their main concern so a thank you to all the fellas here doing the work. Salute.

Sam Ferrel My wife was involved in a accident in our 2011 Ford Edge. Frank is an independent shop which means he didnt work for the insurance people he worked in my behalf. Factory parts and got them to pay for every little detail. Not only was I impressed by the work he detailed my car inside and out my chrome rims were horrendous my headlights we so hazy. I bought my car used and it looked a 1000 times better than when I drove it off the lot. Frank and his team work at the highest standards with integrity. Would recommend 100%

Luis I bought a 2019 Traverse at auction and decided to bring it to Prime for the needed repairs. There was some frame sway which they brought to my attention and I asked them to fix that too. I also had the rims and chrome accents all painted black. It looks way better now. Oh, and free car wash. Overall they did a great job! I would reccomend to anyone.

Elvis Cervantes My battery light came on this morning on the way back from the store. My buddy recommended this mechanic. Ameer came to where my car was and noticed that the serpentine belt was gone. He was able to get parts and replace within an hour. Highly recommend this mechanic for hassle free and urgent scenarios.

Audrey Sutton Ameer did a great job doing some repairs on my Honda Element! He is really great about explaining what he is doing and giving insights on what work may be done in the future. I learned a lot from him and will definitely be my go to mechanic in Long Beach :)
