3 /5 Wade Norton: By all appearances, Trendy’s looks like a great spot for breakfast — and to be fair, we’ll probably give it a try before leaving town. The place has a nice vibe, and the staff were incredibly friendly and delightful.
That said, I have to be honest about our lunch experience. I ordered their “famous Bomb Burger,” and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the reputation. The bread was soggy to the point where it couldn’t even be picked up, which really took away from the meal.
The highlight of lunch, surprisingly, was the fries — crisp, hot, and delicious.
Overall, I’d rate Trendy’s a solid 3 out of 5. I wouldn’t return for lunch, but I wouldn’t rule them out for breakfast. Something tells me that’s where they really shine.
