5 /5 Daniel Kraft: Tri-tip is awesome. Little pricey but you are on a mountain! Seating is all outside, probably amazing during summer, little rough in October. But it’s a beautiful area so why not!

5 /5 Yuki Arimitsu: Every time we come to Mammoth, stopping at The Smoke Shack is an absolute must. The food is hands down some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had, and there’s truly nothing better than amazing BBQ after a long day on the mountain. The flavors never disappoint, the portions are generous, and it always hits the spot. 10/10!!! a must-eat if you’re up in Mammoth!!

5 /5 George Hu: I drove all the way from Lake Tahoe just to try Mammoth Smoke Shack, and it was absolutely worth the trip. I grabbed both the tri tip sandwich and the tri tip burrito—each one was packed with juicy, tender meat and loaded with rich flavor. The sauce was perfect, super flavorful without overpowering the meat. On top of that, the customer service was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Easily one of the best stops I’ve made, and I’d 100% come back again.
