5 /5 LORENA COMPARATO: Dining at Shirley inside the historic Roosevelt Hotel feels like stepping straight into Old Hollywood magic. The moment you walk in, you’re wrapped in the kind of timeless charm that makes this hotel legendary, after all, Shirley Temple once filmed a movie here and it’s allegedly the site of the very first Academy Awards ceremony. That whisper of history adds a special glow to the whole experience.
Shirley itself is elegant without trying too hard - beautiful ambience, warm lighting and a menu that feels both modern and elevated. We had the entree bread, the Bransino, the meat and fries. Every dish is thoughtfully crafted, and the staff is attentive, friendly and clearly proud of the restaurant’s unique setting.
And you absolutely can’t miss the hotel pool. It’s stunning, a little slice of vintage Hollywood paradise with a serene vibe and a charming Charlie Chaplin statue keeping watch. It’s the perfect spot to wander after your meal and soak in the history. They say Marilyn Monroe shot her first movie there and actually lived at the hotel! ✨
If you’re looking for delicious food wrapped in classic Hollywood nostalgia, Shirley at the Roosevelt is a must-visit.
