5 /5 Vannile: Excellent service, along with excellent food. The Bread pudding was to die for. Very gracious host/owners. Came out to introduce themselves and wanted to know how our experience was. And meant it. Cannot recommend this restaurant and ambience high enough. Was there for a democratic speaking engagement. Very enjoyable.

It had been awhile since wed been to the Manhattan so we decided to have dinner there Christmas Eve, much to our dismay they were closed. Disappointed, grabbed a reservation on the 23rd... Let me tell you, that is the absolute only thing that wasnt absolutely perfect about this experience (and honestly who can fault them for wanting to be with their families for the holidays?) We arrived to a mostly full dining room, but that didnt stop service from being excellent. Our server was prompt, knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to our partys needs the whole night. The new owners Mike and Heather were present this night, and while waiting for our drinks Heather stopped by to introduce herself and make sure that we didn’t have any questions about the menu and made sure we knew they were on-site if there was anything at all we needed. After ordering and receiving our entrees, the other owner Mike stopped by shortly after to make sure everything was to our liking, these people legitimately care about your satisfaction.. Now, theres a reason they only serve prime cuts, these people know steaks! All 3 steaks were cooked to absolute perfect temps and managed to be tender and juicy at the same time... I almost exclusively order steaks when I eat out, and this is something NOBODY else in Fresno can currently manage to do for whatever reason (No melted butter does not magically make a tough steak decent, Im talking to you Ruth Chris!). If you want to want a mediocre meal at an inflated cost, go elsewhere.. but if youre in the market for a premium cut of beef along with service to match, the Manhattan is your place, I no longer have to drive to Jockos in Nipomo just to get a decent steak.. Great job guys, this was the perfect opener to our holidays! Thanks for everything.

5 /5 Joy Unconfined: The food is top notch. No notes. Service is also top notch. No notes. Atmosphere is quiet, great for conversational dinners, date night, business meals; relaxed but feels upscale. For me, the decor is nice, but feels a little 1990s New York. With the name "Manhattan" it fits. A little nostalgia with classic black and white photos throughout. I was there on a Wednesday night, and there was a singer there with a wonderful voice, perfect for a lounge vibe, smooth, mellow, just beautiful. The experience was great during dinner. A quiet, delicious gem in Fresno. Between $50-$100 per person for dinner/cocktails/dessert. (Unless youre drinking a lot, then it may go up.) Wine selection looks pretty nice, not sure about the rest. Everyone seemed very happy with their cocktails (I wasnt drinking that night.) Attentive staff, always moving and keeping everything going, resetting tables, filling water, checking in on diners unobtrusively. The mark of a good establishment.

5 /5 Granum Lance (TheDudeRN): Hidden in the middle of a strip mall, a bit of Class A, a bit of Elegance, a bit of upscale. The prices reflect the upscale atmosphere, but not to the extreme that some might expect. Some things are expensive, while others are not. You can have a great dinner, and depending on how hungry you are, you will have an excellent meal for the price. The meat was perfectly cooked, and the accompanying vegetables were also excellent. The baked potato was the best Ive had in a long time. The layout for the baked potato was done in a classy, individual serving style. Our party had a great time. We were not pressured or overindulged by the wait staff, and the waitress was excellent. This is the best dining experience Ive had in Fresno in years. Although it is at the upper end of my affordability scale, I will put it on my list of two to three times a year. And try to get back there for a special event, maybe a quiet dinner with just someone special. I did not break out the camera for much in the way of food or photos. I will review that on the next trip. This was really just about the experience and the company. The company was great. The friends enjoyed the meal, and we all had a good time. A party of four, our seating time in the booth was about 2 hours. The dinner check was over $200 for four people, but thats not too bad considering some of them had cocktails and some of us didnt. Guess who did not? Thats right, the 35 year long designated driver.One day at a time! I will be back, I guarantee it. Thank you for a fantastic night, Manhattan!35-year-long
