5 /5 SpaceQueen Odyssey: Incredible service!! And such wonderful folks in and out of the building. The rooms were clean and the front desk women have such beautiful eyes and spirits. So grateful for Raylyns above and beyond expert assistance with everything we needed. I absolutely love the free starbucks in the morning as well as exploring all the historic nooks and crannies of the gorgeous establishment! Whar a fun trip ! We will be back !

5 /5 Zachary Gostlin: I recently stayed at the Beautiful historic Hotel Niles in Modoc County California and the hotel staff went over and above to accommodate me and my business partners/travel mate who were stranded in the town of Alturas do to some unfortunate circumstances with weather and driving off 5he beaten path miles from civilization. Raeleen was especially helpful and courteous and a true blessing. The history and the decor and the ambiance is captivating. I highly recommend staying a night or two if you ever travel to the west coast or pacific northwest. I plan on returning with more time and money to spend and invest in a longer experience and possibly and artistic collaboration with the local community. Thank you to everyone in the area that shared a piece of your life with us. The best is yet to come!!!

5 /5 Miguel: This place is definitely haunted I would stay there again but not on a rainy or stormy night lake last time. Im pretty sure theres ghost here but Im not a ghost expert! A wonderful coffee shop on the main floor and this really cool piano bar.

4 /5 Nancy Williams: For a very old hotel located, Hotel Niles is remarkably well kept. Our room was not luxurious by any means, but it had the more important features of being spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The front desk clerk was very thoughtful, mentioning that he selected our room so that in case any noise came the bar on the first floor we wouldnt be disturbed. It was indeed very quiet, although when we walked by the bar seemed pretty quiet, so maybe we could have stayed in any room without noise issues. The fact that Hotel Niles has an EV charger allowed us to take the most direct driving route between Reno and Hood River, Oregon. We really appreciated that! It is a relatively fast one and our battery was back to 100% by morning. Without the charger, we would have had to take a different route because there are no other chargers for many miles along that one. Although there doesnt seem to be much to do in Alturas (although we were just passing through, so we didnt really look for activities), if we ever find ourselves traveling through there again, well not hesitate to stay here again.

2 /5 Maxwell Slater: I recently stayed at Hotel Niles and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. One of the staff members, Dakota, came across as quite rude and unhelpful during my visit. His appearance was also unkempt, and there was an unpleasant odor, which made the interaction uncomfortable. Additionally, the breakfast muffins were undercooked and tasted raw, which was surprising given the hotel’s otherwise decent reputation. Overall, I expected a higher standard of service and cleanliness. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes some improvements.
