5 /5 Dan Harley, Jr.: I’m a native of the High Desert/Victor Valley, and I’ve been dining at this location for decades through all its ownership changes. It has always been a pleasant spot with a great view and atmosphere — but this was my first visit since it became Goody’s.
Came here with friends for a power business lunch. It’s clearly family-owned, and you can feel how passionate they are about taking care of their customers.
Because I’m pre-diabetic, I have to watch what I eat. I ordered the tuna salad — fantastic. A huge portion too; I ended up taking most of it home for dinner. What really impressed me was how many safe, healthy options they had for someone like me. That’s rare for short-order restaurants.
My friends ordered burgers and fries, and they smelled amazing (I wish I could’ve had that instead!). Everyone enjoyed their meals.
Service was attentive, prices were fair, and overall it was a great experience. Easily a better choice than the dozen fast-food spots nearby, and I’d say it’s a cut above the Denny’s down the road too.
Highly recommended.
