3 /5 Michelle: I decided to visit this place because of its many great reviews and long history. The beautiful interior and friendly service left a strong impression. I happened to be there during lunch hours and ordered from the lunch menu. The flavors weren’t exactly traditional Chinese, but more like what you’d expect from an American-style Chinese restaurant. Overall, it was an impressive place and worth a visit.

4 /5 Annie Yu: It has been ages since the last time I dined at Frank Fats. It was time to give them some local support. We started off with calamari. It was lightly battered and very crispy with a hint of heat. It was four of us, so it makes sense to order 4-5 dishes to share family style. Garlic Chili Green Beans and Walnut shrimp is a must! Its their signature dishes. Green beans were cooked perfectly with the crunch. Good sauce ratio! The Fats Brandy fried chicken was flavorful and moist. Some of the pieces was overly fried tho. The Immigrants beef was okay. Im not a big beef person. The Hong Kong Chow Mein was okay. Generous portion. I expected the noodles on the bottom to be more crunchy. Overall, it was a nice family meal. You cant leave without enjoying a piece of their legendary banana cream pie. I dont know how they get it so fluffy.

5 /5 Jake Hewitt: Frank Fat’s came highly recommended and I didn’t think I’d be able to go because they are closed Monday and Tuesday but made a detour on Wednesday just for dinner here. Ngoc was an excellent server with great recommendations! I got the Yu Kwok (special beef and pork dumplings) as an appetizer, Chili Beef Chow Fun as the main course, and of course a slice of their famous banana cream pie for dessert. The manager and all the staff were great. I can see why it’s a staple in Sacramento!!
