1 /5 Dan Covey: I’m not sure what’s changed in the kitchen over the past six months, but something has. We’ve placed large pickup orders for years, and the experience was great until recently. Last night’s order will definitely be our last.
I placed a $230 order (including a $12 tip) online at 3:30, with a pickup time of 4:30, because I was with my 85-year-old grandmother and didn’t want her to wait long in the car. I arrived at 4:30 and was told the order would be ready in a few minutes, but I waited 20 minutes. It seemed the kitchen hadn’t started the order until I arrived, ignoring the scheduled pickup time. Additionally, we ordered $90 worth of blended margaritas for a Labor Day party, but they sat at the bar, melting into liquid and becoming nearly unusable. After waiting 20 minutes for the food and driving away, I received a call informing me that part of the order was missing and I needed to return to the restaurant.
This wasn’t a one-off issue; my previous order also involved a long wait past the pickup time. Clearly, the kitchen is struggling to process orders on time. Given how effortlessly most restaurants handle online orders, I recommend avoiding this place at all costs.
