1 /5 Y C: I waited over an hour for this mala tang, and it was honestly not worth it at all.
The biggest issue is misleading ingredients. What was labeled as beef was clearly pork belly — fatty, layered, and nothing like beef in taste or texture. This is unacceptable and seriously undermines trust.
On top of that, many basic mala tang ingredients were missing. No fish balls, no crab sticks, no common add-ons you would normally expect. The selection felt incomplete and poorly prepared.
I’m not commenting on service at all — the place was extremely busy, and it’s obvious they’re overwhelmed. But from a food and value perspective, there’s really no reason to try this place.
If you’re craving mala tang, chains like Zhangliang are much better in terms of ingredient quality, consistency, and overall experience. Waiting this long for food that’s inferior to a standard chain is simply not worth it.
Save your time and money. Strongly recommend avoiding this place.
