4 /5 Faaz: We had brunch at Black Bear Diner and really enjoyed the overall atmosphere. The vibe was warm and inviting, with spacious seating and rustic wooden tables and chairs that made the place feel comfortable and relaxed.
For food, we ordered the NY steak & eggs and the Shasta Scramble. The Shasta Scramble was the highlight—great flavor, well-mixed ingredients, and a generous portion that was very satisfying. The coffee was also excellent and definitely a plus.
Unfortunately, the NY steak & eggs was disappointing. The scrambled eggs were overcooked and dry, and although the steak was ordered medium-well, it came out overcooked and slightly burned, which took away from the dish.
Overall, the diner has a nice atmosphere and some solid menu items, but the pricing feels a bit high considering the inconsistency in food quality.
