5 /5 Brian Lewis: Delicious food for the soul but not for the waistline since many of the options are fried. We especially loved the spicy fried green beans that were a special of the day. Prices were reasonable. Friendly atmosphere and service was excellent despite being short staffed when we were there.

5 /5 Paul: We had never been here before and to be honest, we only went in because the posted menu prices were more than 50% less than the place across the street. The risk paid off. Great vibe. Our server, Marina was superior and had a great interaction style. The food….WOW! Two fat boys could not finish even half a sandwich. Great food. Great portions. Great service. Great prices. Great vibe. What’s not to love!

5 /5 Joe Dallmann: Id give this place 10 stars if I could. We were staying in Jackson and a lot of places closed early or werent open on Sunday. We asked several locals where to eat and 3 different people said Cavanas. Pictured is the 49er. Coincidentally my favorite football team and now my favorite sandwich. It was absolutely amazing flavor that keeps building as you chew. First the perfectly cut pastrami, then youre hit with a little mustard, the Swiss mellows the mustard and then you get a hint of rye. Service was excellent as well. A+++

5 /5 Bob Schwartz: Came into town, read reviews of nearby restaurants. This place stood out the best from what we read. Im from the east coast, we know what a true clam chowder should taste like. And I have to say, I have FINALLY found a west coast restaurant that serves freshly made clam chowder!! What a surprisingly, mouth-gasm, freshly made soup! THANK YOU!!! Now onto the rest of the food. We observed the portions of burgers, salads and various foods being served, the portions are huge, so come in hungry OR we found where you can order a half deli sandwich combo - Bingo! I had the half portion Ruben Sandwich and Clam Chowder. The Ruben was amazing, the sauerkraut and melted cheese oh lawd! Their tangy mustard and not to mention the tasty corned beef all piled up on an amazing marbled rye bread! Yummy! My wife had the traditional wings, NOT greasy!!! Very meaty and tasty wings! The young lady serving us was nervous of her recommendation to me of the soup - she was right, its made fresh daily and it was great! She was attentive and their Manhattan was spot on and the wife enjoyed her cosmo! Highly recommend this place!
