5 /5 Jonathan Lopez: The service is top notch! Definitely will be coming back here again. Alfonso was such a great guy. He made sure we were taken care of to the smallest detail. Update: I was so excited yesterday after our visit, that I forgot to take my cheesecake and bread pudding home, I called them and they made sure I got my sweets back! Highly recommend this place!

5 /5 Karessa Mercado: As an ex waitress I can say every time I come here the service is exceptional. When they are busy or even when they are slow. I never have to wait or repeat asking for water or refill. I am always checking how many tables a server has to see what the hold up is if they take forever. I have never even had to count the tables I see them working because I never have to ask for refills. The food always tastes good. The portions are very large, you will get your money’s worth. The restrooms have always been clean. If I have any complaints it would have to be the parking space it a bit tight. You may need to go around back most don’t know there is additional parking. Love the cozy atmosphere and friendliness.

We stayed in Sacramento for five days and were lucky to be so close to this spot — we ended up eating here every day for breakfast or lunch. The food was amazing, portions were huge, and prices very reasonable. Our server, Maggie, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. Thank you for making our visit so special! Black Bear Diner gets a full five stars from us — we’d come back in a heartbeat!

4 /5 J V: The Black Bear Diner is such a cute spot. Very welcoming as soon as we arrived. Our host Alanna was wonderful, very attentive and patient taking our order and giving refills. She made the experience very good. The food was mostly good, just a little different to what I’m used to but still fresh and came out quickly for the size of our order. Would recommend coming here.

4 /5 Richard Waples: Pretty good for being only place to eat out in this area of Sacramento. Friendly service, good hot food and lots of choices. Had a pot roast sandwich No complaints here!
