1 /5 Maree Maree: I had a hamburger and fries today at the Arrowhead Golf Course Restaurant. It was the worst hamburger I have ever eaten, and as a school employee, I have had to eat school hamburgers.
When the burger came it was sitting on a toasted bun. There was a pool of liquid fat about an inch in diameter on the surface of the meat patty. I prepared the burger with the bottled condiments, a limp piece of lettuce and what turned out to be such strong onions that I had to remove them. I dabbed up the fat with a couple of napkins and put the sandwich together.
The taste of the meat was worse than the appearance. It wasnt spoiled meat, but it was stale. Having eaten school prepared burgers, I knew that this meat patty had been fried ahead of time, then frozen and reheated in a microwave before being placed on the bun, also stale and hard. The fries were cold and flavorless, clearly having been prepared long before they were served and barely warmed--room temperature.
When we went in, the restaurant was nearly empty, so it wasnt as if it were overcrowded and too busy to serve decent food.
I dont know how the owner of this restaurant can hold her head up in this small community knowing that she serves such really really bad food. If I could give it minus points, I would
And finally, I was overcharged for this garbage, the ticket coming to three dollars more than the price of the combined items I had ordered.
Never ever again.
