3 /5 Aylin Weyh: This hotel is the only nearby IHG option near Redwood National Park, which is why we chose to stay here. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing.
The cleanliness of the room was not up to standard. The coffee machine was extremely dirty, and when I tried to clean it by brewing water, I discovered that the previous guests cup was still inside. Even after multiple attempts to rinse it, some kind of unpleasant residue remained, making it completely unusable.
The continental breakfast is included, but the quality was very poor—definitely not something to look forward to in the morning. Additionally, the hotel seemed to have a large number of young guests, including teenagers and even younger children, running around, making the atmosphere quite chaotic.
One of the biggest issues was the ventilation, which was so bad that it significantly affected our sleep. Resting well was nearly impossible. Considering all these factors, the $200 per night price tag feels unjustified.
Unless improvements are made in cleanliness, food quality, and overall comfort, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless absolutely necessary due to its location.
