Felipe Peralta I found this auto shop because of its reviews on Google and I glad I did and now I am leaving a review to help them out and help others find an amazing mechanic shop like this one! I’ve been there a few times for multiple different things from oil changes to diagnosing engine problems Prices are good and they are honest people not charging more than they need to!

Cinthia Sanchez I was facing an issue with my Yukon XL – it would heat up immediately. Being new to the area, I chose a nearby auto repair shop, as I couldnt risk driving my car too far. Carlos turned out to be a true blessing! On my first visit, he honestly admitted, "I dont know whats wrong with your car." We discussed the issue, and he assured me he would continue investigating. Throughout the process, he kept me informed, even though the problem remained unidentified. Finally, on the third day, he not only identified the issue but also fixed it. (Mistake made my previous mechanic) As a single mother of three, I often worry and expect being taken advantage of due to my zero knowledge of cars. However, to my surprise, the bill was much lower than expected for a three-day service. Carlos, understanding my concerns, was exceptionally kind and even took the time to go on a test drive with me. Finding this reliable and trustworthy auto repair shop was a relief, and I will undoubtedly continue bringing my car here in the future!

Croix Fossum I took my 2007 Honda Civic in with what I thought might have been an issue with the ignition switch and paid $456 to have the ignition switch repaired (double the cost of other shops). When I went to pick up the car I was told that my starter was failing and that I would have issues "soon". 2 days later the car would not start. I took it back in and the quote to fix the starter was another $718. At that point, I left and replaced the starter on my own with a friend for $180. When I questioned Danny about why the starter was not repaired the first time, I was told that I specifically asked to have the ignition switch repaired, which struck me as missing the big picture. A more thoughtful mechanic would have taken the time to diagnosis the actual problem, instead of making a quick buck. Reviews are positive but might be inflated because discounts are offered for favorable reviews. I think Danny probably gives established clients/friends better prices and is looking out for them. This wasnt my experience though. In the future I will be looking for a mechanic with superior diagnostic capabilities and more fair pricing. Danny seems to treat his employees well and compensates them fairly which I appreciate. Figure I would end on a positive note.

WorldOfShoja I took my BMW to DC Mobile Auto Repair and had a great experience. They installed a new battery and serviced my brakes, everything was done efficiently and professionally. Stephen Harwood I own a Ford ranger that needed a clutch replacement. The clutch bearing failed so spectacularly that I had to have the vehicle towed to DC Mobile Auto Repair. I had neglected a few other repairs that I knew I should take care of, but had been putting off, like spark plug and brake rotor replacements. The team at DC Mobile quickly fit me into their schedule, replaced the clutch, and spotted all the things I had been knowingly neglecting and offered to take care of those for me as well. They were transparent about the costs and their progress on the vehicle. In subsequent visits to address minor problems as they arise, they have always been attentive and flexible in fitting me into their busy schedule quickly. My truck now runs as well as it did when I purchased it, 100K miles ago. I highly recommend DC Mobile Auto Repair!

Daniel Alatorre WOW, Carefree Auto exceeded all my expectations! I took my car into the dealership because my car was bogging down and was told it would be $7,800 due to the catalytic converters being clogged. My gut told me that wasnt right, so I took my car here and their laptop reader showed a cylinder 4 misfire. Long story short, a simple replacement of the spark plugs fixed the entire problem, a few hundred dollars later!!! Im beyond happy about my experience and the savings! If youre looking for a knowledgeable mechanic, look no further!

T I dropped my car off on at 4:30pm. They close at 5pm. I was in no hurry to get it back. On my way to work at 8:45am they were already looking at it. They said it was done at 1pm! I’d say thats fast service! Super nice guys too. I think the price was fair but, I’m just a girl lol. I know labor is usually $100-$150 everywhere else, so basing it off that. I will come back if needed in the future.

Cara Polis Got a smog check here. Carlos the owner was so sweet and friendly and they smog-checked my car within an hour and a half (I had shown up without an appointment and told them there was no rush).

River So I am long term client/customer of this shop. The owner Mes, is a genuine trustworthy mechanic. Every time I try to get a service somewhere else I end up going right back to Mes because he is affordable, trustworthy,reasonable with the turnaround time, and also very importantly he is personable. I can’t tell you how many times I have left the establishment simply based off of the energy they gave me when interacting. I recently had my car oil cooler fixed by him. The turnaround time was simply three hours. I have been avoiding getting this done for two weeks. I highly recommend this shop.

Belinda Ramsey Ive been taking my car to Sam Lee Auto for 10 years. I have always been happy with the service and the fair prices for repair. Today, I took my car in for an oil change even tho I wasnt feeling well. I showed John the paperwork for a smog test needed to renew the registration and asked if they were able to do that as well He told me to leave it on the seat and said he would help After the oil change, John sent one of his guys in my car to get the smog test! I couldnt believe it! They paid for it with their own money and I paid them back. What service! They really helped me out today and I will never forget it.

Nerd Available Sam Lee Auto Repair did an excellent job fixing my work van. After my brakes gave out and the right rear brake was completely damaged, they managed to get everything repaired in just two hours. Sam was super nice throughout the process, and John, the owner, was very responsive and helpful. Great service, quick turnaround, and friendly staff—highly recommended!

Dave Wanted to find a new local mechanic (Pacific Beach area) for my 2010 Jeep Wrangler. M&C Auto kept showing great reviews on sites I looked at so decided to give them a shot at the end of May 2025, when I had a coolant leak issue. Rmm Hk Nice place, they are super clear and made me fell confident that I was doing the right maintenance for my old subaru. They answer questions, provide breakdowns, pricing is good. Service is fast, repair to cv axle was made but they also gave me a heads up on what other parts to watch as they were nearing their end of their span too.

After getting quotes from other shops, these guys not only beat their prices but got the job done in half the time. I also had some concerns about my brakes, brought it in, and they told me that several of them looked at it and thought everything was fine. The cost of the repair was reasonable and they even filled up my tires with air and topped off my wiper fluid. Whenever I called to check in my car, he had no answer. He said he would call me back but didn’t. I told him I was going to pick up my car and take it somewhere else.
